To begin with, one of the city’s most important legends, Antoine "Fats" Domino, has not been heard from since Monday afternoon. Domino’s rollicking boogie-woogie piano and deep soul voice are not only part of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame but responsible for dozens of hits like “Blue Monday,” “Ain’t That a Shame,” “Blueberry Hill” and “I’m Walking (Yes, Indeed, I’m Talking).”

I heard a report on the radio that someone said they saw him on the roof of his house as the watter was getting higher. That person told him he would be back as the boat he was in was full. But samaritan said that the waters were coming to fast and high by the time he got his boat emptied.

Again, that is a report from a guy. Not sure it if is real or not. Hopefully Fats is okay.

Life lesson: Don't try to ride out a storm...when the news says "One of the worst in recorded US history," forget your stuff and get the fuck out of there.

GrizzlyJin: Granted, the OMFG WORST STORM IN US HISTORY bit popped up practically overnight.

The label did, but they still knew a big ass storm was coming their way. Some people just don't seem to realize how powerful mother nature is. Hopefully he is ok, but staying behind was a choice.

At least, some GOOD news!
I know! Master P is going to organize a concert!

Meanwhile, several high-powered denizens are rallying support. Master P, whose home was swamped and who hasn't been able to track down his uncle, father-in-law or sister-in-law, has announced the formation of a charity, Team Rescue, and is organizing a "Save Our Hood" concert and benefit album.

hes black right? i bet they found him with the rest of those no good looters

Having lived through a few Hurricanes and Tropical storms, it is easy to feel like, "it's just another storm". And honestly up until the last day, it was. By the time it was a cat 5, there was no way to get out of the city. But then again I lived through a cat 5 as well.
