Favorite Beer?

DeafTourette

I'm slightly buzzed right now but I thought of something... What's your favorite beer?

My ABSOLUTE favorite is this swedish beer I had when I went to CD Project Red's bcd showing off The Witcher 3 in 2013 at E3. I need to import that stuff! Had me tipsy after one beer! Good stuff!

Taste wise... I'm a porter/stout man. So + 1 to Guinness.

But I usually aim to get drunker quicker while using less stomach space, so I tend to go for higher alcohol beer.

I only drink craft beers nowadays. I completely stopped drinking any mass produced can beer. Craft Beers are so high quality compared to the ones in cans, as a beer lover, just cant go back to the old ways :)

Not really into beers, so I don't have a fucking clue. But from my limited experience I can say that I seem to (somewhat) like Porters. I drank Guinness Porter a while ago and it wasn't bad. Bremer Porter is alright, too. But again, I only drink a couple of times a year, on occasion. Also tried Asahi when I was in Osaka for a while. Didn't like it.

Nasty. This isn't still made right?

It isn't and it is awful.

Guinness from those tall cans with the carbonator-thing is hard to beat. Here in MI we have more micro-brews and craft brews than can ever be experienced, so I gave up a long time ago. Now I stick with staples I know are good.

Some random ones that come to mind that were strange and/or enjoyable:
Short's Space Rock
Sierra Nevada's Otra Vez

Dude, Michigan is a mecca for American Beer. Founders is incredible. Founders CBS is a holy artifact that should be coveted if you can get your hands on it. It also is a fav of mine, just cant drink more than one.

Well, this is my go-to beer.

Its OK with spicy food, and to chase Baijiu I guess, but I preferred Snow and Harbin while in China, and none were great ;P

Dark and Honey variants of Koreb for me. They're regional brewery in Poland, specialising in unfiltered and unpasteurized beers.

I've been enjoying mostly ales and sour beers recently but I'm typically partial for the lighter fare. Shandies are my thing.

I wish UFO Big Squeeze wasn't seasonal. It's the best.

I really liked one that was called Imperial from Portugal but I haven't seen it in years. No idea if it's even being made still

I like Asian beer, it's really smooth without tasting watered down like American beer. Asahi and Kirin from Japan, Hite from Korea and Cobra from India are ones I enjoy. If I want something more traditional, Leffe is my go to beer.

One thing I really like is somaek, which is soju mixed with beer. Soju on its own is bad, it pretty much tastes like diluted rubbing alcool and so I almost never drink it by itself and I'll never understand how Koreans down so many bottles of the stuff. It's most likely due to it being dirt cheap rather than anything else. But mixed with beer if gives the beer a nice kick. Somaek paired with Korean fried chicken is the meal of the gods.

  • La Chouffe
  • Guinness
  • Delerium Tremens (You don't find this in the common grocery store though)
On trips Peroni is usually served.

Most types of Pale Ales and IPAs.
Don't know about favourite brand though. It's not very popular where I live so you mostly just find 2-3 brands which are all fairly expensive. And then there's one local brewery who makes one which is pretty ok but not great (but at least its fairly cheap).

And guiness is great too

Damn now I want a beer.

I know I'm going to be attacked for my choice, but my favorite is a Bud Light Platinum. Low carb/calorie, low price, 6% alcohol, very smooth. I can't do all of these craft beers. As I get older, the just make me sleepy. If I want something tasty, I go whiskey or bourbon.

Sleeman honey brown
I find it very refreshing after a long, hot day of yardwork.

2nd choice would be Pilsner urquell.

My favorite, more commonly seen beer would have to be Blue Moon.

But when it comes to beer you really don't see too often(I've only seen this at the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Nashville, TN) it would have to be Delirium Red.
