Favorite Class in Battlefield 2?

I still dont have one. I switch a lot depending on situation. I suck at sniping, ill own up to that instead of running around like a damned fool with a gun I cant use. Assault is ok but I hate losing the ability to lob grenades and ive always found the gun mounted launcher to be ineffective against infantry and armor.

Medics are pretty fun, special ops are just awesome on both sides so that MIGHT just be my favorite.

The squad play in this game is pretty f'n amazing anyway. Cept sometimes I get mad cause on some servers they'll use the black hawk as a gun platform instead of transport when it can conceivably do both. I mean it has to head to the carrier to repair up after a run anyway. Oh well :p

Im sure the full game will have the transport grade blackhawks. God I cant wait! 22nd!

so far its a toss up between Medic and Assault.

Defibbing and healing (when people actually take the fucking packs i hand them!) is good fun, and healing yourself in cover after youve been shot or blown up 3/4 of the way to death is pretty intense.

why cant assault lob a grenade? im confused.

i actually used the launcher to take out an infantryman yesterday. very rewarding to see him go flying while he thought he was going to capture my flag. even more rewarding to kill him again seconds later after a medic brought him back from the dead. :D

What I dont get is why people stand around after respawning. They literally just stand there then I shoot them in the heads and they take it till they die ;P

my fav on usmc is Special Forces... on mec its Assault. Are the guns different from both sides? because I think the mec SF gun isnt as accurate as the usmc one?

My favorite is Special Ops, but I switch depending on the needs of my squad.

Can anyone recommend a good gfx card for this game? I have a x300SE which is ok but I would like a better one.. Is x600xt an ok card?

Anti-tank for me too. I love tank battles and if for some strange reason my tank is going to explode, I will just jump out of it and finish the enemy tank with my rocket launcher. And climbing to top of buildings to snipe tanks and other vehicles is a blast! :D

Special Ops. I love to go to the MEC base and blow up their Artillery and Radar and UAV stations. It's really fun when I'm doing that AND being the Commander for USMC at the same time. Very busy and lots of fun.

Big fan of Anti-Tank as well, or occasionally Support for squad play and the heavy machine gun. Haven't really tried the medic/engineer classes yet... I generally find that they're quite responsible positions, so require a little more practice. Sniper, I'm not really a fan of.

After experimenting I've been playing spec ops almost exclusively. Primarily because the spec ops gun in single shot mode is both accurate and deadly. C4'ing tanks and shit is a bonus.

Special forces.

Taking a black hawk, parachuting behind the enemy aircraft base, and planting c4 on the planes... that's fun. Just waiting for people to take them and try to take off and blowing them up, it's even better.
:lol

I love being an engineer!

Aside from that its a toss up between sniper and medic.

Hmm, a bit of everything here as well, I can't really choose a favourite as I find that I enjoy the role given to every class.

Well if I have to choose one it would be spec ops, so fun blowing up the artillery guns with the C4, and the kamikaze jeep idea is a winner as well (although I wish the car would roll on a bit further after bailing), the gun they get isn't half-bad either.

Engineers/Medics are great for the ability to repair stuff, I guess my least favourite would be Support.. although I haven't really had a chance to just lay down and mow down some enemies with that gun just yet.

Sniping is satisfying, love picking off the other team as they run along the beach-head in an attempt to progress to your flag.

Any chopper pilots here? Anyone notice just how weak they made the Chopper Rockets? Those things are HELLA weak.

Special Forces. I love going behind enemy lines blowing up their communication stuff and fucking up their bridges, it's even more fun going onto the USMC ship by boat with a small party and blowing all their shit to hell while all the people are just waiting around for planes :lol. I just wish you got some points for it.

The C4 is also mega useful for blowing up tanks when they try to take your flag. Special Forces are a one man wrecking crew if you can get a crate near you.

You are my sworn enemy! :lol

Many a match I'm left as the only one defending our base. At least I do a damn good job of it when I'm quick enough to swipe a tank or lay some traps.

Better than the ruuuuuuude 'Nam setup. I've had no problems taking out all sorts of armour with them. Air to Air sucks now though, because turning with the choppers is shit, that's the only thing about them that really bugs me.

Anti-tank and assault are all I've been using so far, they are both pretty cool. Not too keen on that grenade launcher though, gunning down infantry seems to be easier.

I enjoy the special ops on both sides. I can usually pick of snipers with the SO kit gun.

Right click, change firing mode by pressing 3 to single shot, and aim and shoot. fun times.

I snipe as well, but only with the unlocked second sniper rifle.

I love this game soooo much but noone ever listens to orders, or the commander never listens to requests.

I guess you gotta be in a clan for everyone to co-operate with each other.

Does the 2nd Sniper Rifle penetrate vehicles? I could have swore I used it to kill a helicopter pilot as he was taking off once.

I'm a recruit in a clan, and had my first squad experience with 5 members. It went pretty well, stayed together, covered for each other and call out targets. Good mixture of classes.

I've played mainly as Medic, but I really do like Spec Ops, Anti Tank, and Heavy Gunner. Still trying to learn how to fly Helicopters with any ability. I can keep them steady...sometimes. Planes baffle the shit outta me. Can you use a Joystick in the game like in BF1942?

Support and Sniper are my favorites. For sniper I get on top of the hotel and rack up kills, or sneak up to an enemy strongeholde whilst prone and snipe them until backup arrives. Support is all around fun, not needing to reload often, anihilating ground troops, filling mine with ammo and tossing grenades is all around fun.

Depends on the game you go to, I had a great team yesterday. Commander was very good and was always supporting my squad. As soon as we're done and I radio him for new orders he responds right away.

I'm a fan of the Anti-Tank.

And I just realized that I have played the Battlefield 1942 demo off and on ever since it came out without ever buying the actual game, can't for for Battlefield 3 :D

MEC assualt and USMC Sniper

I think the MEC sniper is terrible and the semi-auto USMC assualt pisses me off, cuss i only get 3 shots at a time.

Any of the specialty classes, pretty much. Engy, Sniper, Antitank, Special Ops. I haven't really had much use for the Medic yet though. Antitank is probably my fav. Engy is great but I've yet to kill anyone with the shotty yet.

I've been getting the hang of support lately since I figure that'll end up being the least used class in the game due to the inaccurate gun, and giving out ammo isnt as fun as using a defib or C4 I suppose. But a good support gunner can be a huge boost to squad. I hang back in prone and strafe the hell out of anything that comes in range of my squad with the SAW/PKM while keeping everybody full on ammo. Especially helpful with a spec ops or sniper in the unit. And its actually a pretty deadly class if you're tasked to defend certain areas and aren't on assault all the time. We were keeping a couple of the beach bases out of MEC's hands and I was racking up 20+ kill rounds as support gunner. Works great for suppression too since you rarely have to reload the sucker. Just aim at a hot choke point and let er rip.

MEDIC!!!
I usually start off with Assault. Then once I die I switch over to medic and save lots of lives.
If I see a grip of tanks around a flag area Ill quickly switch to Anti-tank.
The best part about this game is that you can switch what you do even when your alive for example if a Medic dies and im Assault Ill just pick up his medic pack and revive him.

I haven't really tried the classes besides Assault, Engineer, and AT. I like the Engineer the best, if it wasn't for teamkills from dumbasses running over the mines I place. I swear, one game I'll be in the Top 5 on the server and the next I'll have negative points. :(

What is the ideal place to put mines? Should I use them to guard entrances to my control points or should I plant them outside of enemy control points? If I plant them around my points, my teammates drive over them. If I plant them outside enemy bases, I feel like I'm reinforcing their defenses. :-<

why does the medic gun fire semi automatic rounds? Is there a way to make it fully automatic?

My fav are engineer, spe ops, sniper and anti tank.

I believe you press 3 twice to switch from single shot to burst or auto fire.

I tried out Sniper and Anti-Tank last night. Got more run with Sniper and was doing well on one server. It still seems oddly inaccurate and unpowerful for a sniper rifle. It's a sniper rifle which is deadly from.. like 8 feet away. But the sniper tactics keep you alive and causes problems for others. Me and this other ugy climbed the water tower in the MEC base and were knocking people down when they spawned or ran out. It was just annoying that we had to two shot them when normally a sniper just needs one shot.

Mostly I play support. The gun isn't bad and theres bonus points for supplying ammo. I hate the engineer's shotgun.

Hard to say but i like nearly all of them. Depends on situation. Favourite would be sniper. I love the jeep and running people over. I literally go in on a mission to run people over. :lol

I prefer to be AT, its just fun taking down tanks, buggys, apcs and a heli every now and then with the rockets. I'm so fing sick of Spec OPs its not funny. Almost every fing round 3/4th of the team is Spec Ops. :lol

Spec-ops rocks, but I accidentally killed 2 players with one of my mega blasts that took out two enemy tanks on Defense. :lol
