Shoot, I forgot about the original teaser for Spider-Man, with the chopper webbed up between the World Trade towers. It was simply sick. Still got it on my hard drive.

The trailer for "Requiem for a Dream" is my ultimate favorite. It's perfect, with Moby's music in the background, and it really captures what and how the movie is.

IF t hat was a modern trailer it would have been ruined by showing you the chestburster, the full alien and the end titles to a techo soundtrack.

Absolutely. There's just no way a studio would release a trailer like that today. No dialogue, no voice over, no Nickleback song, no spoilers, etc. - just scary ass tension. Perfect, imo.

I forgot how flat-out scary the opening titles to this move were. Movies have forgotten how to be creepy, and trailers how to convey it.
