Everything should be available on winamp.com, otherwise Google it. i'll start off.

Tomsteady - Normalizes files so that they play at a more uniform volume. Not recommended for serious listening since it can make low parts of songs really high and vice versa, but great for casual listening and sleeping.

Enhancer - Enhances the dynamic range of low-quality MP3s to make them sound much better.

Go!

My most favourite and used for years on end plug-in hasn't been available on the site for years now... :p

So I guess I can't mention it! :)

i didn't feel like providing links for things that people could search winamp.com or otherwise do a web search for. And i shouldn't have to, junior woodchuck.

On the other hand, you should provide the name of the plugin you mentioned. In fact, you have to.

Sorry, I read your first statement as a pre-requisite and not as a comment.

It's called Pitchfork, it's basically a pitch tool. Obviously goes hand in hand with someone like myself who listens to a lot of techno.

There are some that feature time-stretching (pitchfork doesn't), but they aren't that good and don't really compare to pitchfork.

Plus, it only works on Winamp 2.X. Which is why I have yet to upgrade to 5 :p

Hates quality gaming
G-Force or WhiteCap.

e: I haven't really even looked into anything other than a handful of visualizers, so I'd like to hear more about the other types of plug-ins people use.

Evil Lyrics- the best lyric finder ever with no popups, finds the lyrics automatically as they play using lyrics websites. But it just takes the text and only shows you the lyrics, nothing else. :)

http://www.evillabs.sk/

*has a kareoke feature too

PS-- There's also a Winamp Firefox extension. No more minimizing of your browser if you want to pause/change/skip a song

This looks useful. The guys say the next build will have XMPlay support, so I'll definitely try it out then.
