I may use a lot of profanity, but I didn’t explicitly direct any of it at you. The worse I’ve done in that post is say you’re bitching about something pointless and I’ve given you constructive reasons as to why. Did you expect to post this “but Hilary!” garbage and not be challenged about it? Have fun in your silly echo chamber where “bad opinions” can’t get to you while you ironically complain about snowflakes and sjws who can’t handle “freeeespeeeech” or what have you.

So sick of this garbage on this forum.

No, you're really being unnecessarily condescending and insulting.

Yeah. His irony is palpable.
Now, what makes me a part of the far left? Just because I don't agree with you? Pretty sure you're just trying your best to slander those who don't agree with you because you want your echo chamber.

Echo Chambers and safe spaces just further isolate people from each other and nothing gets done when you don't have opposing views. That's not what I want. But you don't get to make shit up as you go along like this either.

If you don't like your views challenged as in this particular case don't throw shit at the wall hoping it sticks. And don't run for cover when you're called out on it.

Kind of feels like you just dismissed him because he spat some truth.

Mueller and Rosenstein are both Republicans. Republicans have control of all three branches, if they wanted to they could launch an investigation into Hillary at any moment. After Benghazi and her email stuff, they know they don’t have anything on her. There is really no reason to be against this investigation unless you don’t want the truth to come out.

I disagree with you. Hillary destroyed evidence. Her husband had a private meeting with Lynch. And Comey pretty much exonerated her before the investigation was complete. None of it was transparent and it was shady and still stinks. Truth in Washington seems to be subjective depending on who your friends are. And it's disingenuous to want justice now in this situation given the evidence so far points to Trump being guilty of nothing more than being a dumbass. The "truth" thus far says that's the case. Politics shouldn't be a team sport and I don't recall seeing this support for "justice" when Hillary was being investigated. If Trump is guilty of more than being a dumbass fine convict him. But at this point with no evidence to the contrary it's looking like a desperate push to find something. Everyone is guilty of something if you look hard enough. Justice shouldn't be Red or Blue it should be transparent without bias and comparing the two situations I don't think anyone can with a straight face say these situations are the same.

Alright, my bad. I’ll be nicer the next time someone posts easily debunkable Fox News talking points about our president who attacks our intelligence community, press, associates with criminals and instigates nuclear powers on twitter while the majority of his party’s leadership is jumping ship.

If Mueller had evidence directly implicating Trump, do you really think it would come out this early? How do you feel about the firing of Comey after the Flynn issue? There is a reason this investigation is happening, and it should run its course. Hell there’s already been over a dozen indictments. Even if Trump isn’t found guilty why is an investigation a bad thing when it is resulting in criminal charges for people that deserve them?

Again, if Republicans felt they had a reason to go after Hillary in an investigation, they could. Why haven’t they then? I never understood how some people thought she was this evil genius that had an underground pedophile ring and could murder anyone she wanted through hitmen, yet somehow couldn’t rig an election.

It feels like since they haven't found any evidence on Trump regarding Russia they've now expanded the investigation to look for anything they can. It should be alarming they can go in and seize shit that falls under Attorney client privilege.
They don't just raid the attorney of a President without a good reason to. A bunch of people signed off on this including Republicans and Trump appointees. There's always been ways to override the attorney-client privilege, but it requires strong evidence of wrongdoing. It's probably safe to say that Cohen is in some pretty deep shit.

Nothing disingenuous about leaving out what I quoted in that post right? Right.....If you're going to take the time to dig through post history in some sort of "gotcha" attempt. I'd appreciate it if you took the time to make sure the entire quote is there. So I can't you know. Call your integrity into question.

My issue is the double standard. Everything with Clinton was brushed aside and Trump is already guilty in many peoples eyes. I don't like Trump and I'm not going to cry for an attorney getting caught in shady shit if that's what's happening. But innocent until proven guilty goes both ways and it should transcend politics in the interest of justice.

Sorry, was an accident. But it doesn’t change anything really?

And it is now accurate, and what I said didn't change. Fun times.

Except there is no irony. That's the really funny part. Everyone deserves respect whether you like their opinions or not. I asked him to refrain from the insulting tone. He did not. I wouldn't expect you to be talked down to and take it bcs you're opinion clashes with another. I don't have to do it either. It became obvious he cared more about being shitty than discussing the points which he's welcome to do. I don't have to be subjected to it. Hope this cleared things up for you.

Everyone deserves respect whether you like their opinions or not. .

I wish that was true, but do you really believe that? My coworker thinks school shootings are a conspiracy and that vaccines are dangerous so she doesn't make her kid vaccinate. Some kids can't vaccinate and not doing so she risks those kids lives for no reason. She's actively putting lives at risk for a belief proved wrong decades ago... What respect does she deserve?

I'm open to discussion and think we all have a lot to teach each other but some of the garbage people think I find ridiculous.

Having a differing opinion and mouthing baseless accusations are two different things and its clear our president prefers the latter.

May I remind you that a popular chant among Republicans (including Trump) was "lock her up!". Isn't this literally the opposite of innocent until proven guilty?

Also, despite all the drama in the end the entire Hillary email scandal wasn't as big of a deal as people were made to believe. Her predecessor Colin Powell used a private server for emails as well and even Trump administration members including Kushner used private email accounts to discuss work related issues. (though admittedly we don't know if they discussed any classified information) Mistakes were definitely made and Hillary rightfully got shit for it, but it seemed more systemic than anything. I think the FBIs fairly short investigation points toward it being a pretty straight forward case rather than them not giving it a proper look.

You don’t have to respect the opinion, but you can respectfully disagree with the person with out coming off as an asshole..
Would probably also be easier to pursvade the person, or just notch them towards the truth..
If what your saying is right about your co-worker and not a hypothetical.. then her kids would be better off if someone could talk some sense into her.. but you don’t do that by being confrontational to the person and putting them down, no matter how insane there opinions are..
The only thing it does is feeding your own ego on how right you are.. :)

I personally think everyone is giving Trump too much credit. He's not smart enough to have colluded with Russia and have kept his mouth shut about it. And considering we're now 16 months into this and they're expanding into his personal affairs that is what I believe. Whether those around him broke the law is another matter but right now Trump looks like he surrounded himself with the wrong people and nothing more. The evidence thus far supports my opinion.
Whatever you think of Trump's intellect, it is immaterial. Putin is certainly smart enough to exploit him if possible and it appears that Trump surrounded himself with some whose loyalties are, shall we say, "fluid". Try not to forget there have already seen several confessions and guilty pleas. His own damn son released emails proving that the meeting held in Trump Tower was to discuss dirt that the Russians had on Hillary...that is (by definition) collusion by the way. Couple that with the President's admission (on national TV!!!) that he fired the head of the FBI because of the "Russia thing" and we are now in "obstruction of justice" territory. On top of that all that, we also have someone who likely violated campaign finance laws to silence a porn star and you've now got the greatest shit show in our country's history.

If you think 16 months (in actuality, the special counsel was formed in May of 2017 so its only been 11 months) is a long time, you lack perspective. Watergate took 3 years to complete and so in comparison, this one is flying by. Mueller also fully understands the gravity of his charge...You don't strike at the President without cause and you don't do it without the evidence to lead you there hence the "long" investigation and from the list of shit that has fallen out, the time its taking is far from surprising.

Breaking news...McClatchy says that Mueller has proof that Cohen was in Prague. Why is this bad? Because according to the Steele dossier, Cohen was meeting Russians there and Cohen had lied to investigators about it. Collusion and perjury all in one!

What a crooked ass administration

Cohen is in a world of hurt. This will be worse than Mueller investigation as Cohen cannot be pardoned.

This looks pretty bad for Cohen. That hearing on Monday will be well worth following, as we'll have for the first time Cohen (plus lawyer), Avenatti, Trump's lawyer, and a Federal judge all in the same room.

Worth remembering though, that this is still a Federal investigation - not State, so the presidential pardon is still available (though it might be unwise).

As to what's been taken in evidence, I'd expect there is at least a drawerful of settlement agreements (leading to more witnesses), a whole load of money sloshing around, contact lists, and a bunch of shady LLCs as well as the recordings.

Can't see that Cohen will manage to get any of it stayed at this hearing, though he may be able to get some excluded at trial. He'll surely try that - at least as regards any communications with Trump.

Hahahhaha this is too much! So much win!

Hannity just said: "Cohen never represented me"

Sean Hannity: Cohen "never represented me in any matter"

Fox News host Sean Hannity just responded to reports that he was Michael Cohen's mystery third client.
“Everybody’s going insane here,” said Hannity, who was on air and speaking on his radio show, “The Sean Hannity Show."
"I have known Michael a long, long time and let me be very clear to the media. Michael never represented me in any matter. I have never retained him in the traditional sense as retaining a lawyer," Hannity said.
"I never received an invoice from Michael. I never paid legal fees to Michael, but I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective, and I assumed that those conversations were attorney-client confidential."

Hannity: I might have handed Cohen $10 for attorney-client privilege

Fox News host Sean Hannity, while speaking on his radio show, insisted that he never paid a retainer fee to attorney Michael Cohen for legal fees.
However, Hannity said he might paid him for attorney-client privilege.

"What else can you say except that, 'I never gave him a retainer, never received an invoice, never paid any fees,'" he said. "I might have handed him 10 bucks. 'I definitely want attorney-client privilege on this.' Something like that."

Hannity losing his job would be amazing. Let's hope he gets caught doing some shady shit because he is cancererous to the millions that watch him. At the very least calling his show news should be illegal in itself.

davepoobond

you can't put a price on sparks
millions of pieces of evidence and not a juicy leak from this yet?

there's been almost nothing from the mueller team at all, so its not that surprising. all of the info about what they're doing comes from Trump's team
