I seem to remember him saying he's aiming for there to be so many secrets in the game that most or all (I forget) people never find them all.How long is the game? Replayability?

Jesus Christ this game took too long.Been excited since i saw it on The 1Up show
Phil Fish doesn't hate Japanese games, he dislikes MODERN Japanese games. I think he's a big fan of 8-bit and 16-bit era Japanese stuff.

Thanks a lot for this post. The Metroidvania genre descriptor has always been ill-defined, but it gets applied so loosely nowadays that it's all but lost any semblance of meaning. Being 2D(ish) and non-linear does not make a game a Metroidvania. Metroidvanias rely on the player gradually obtaining new items/abilities and then using those to figure out where to go. It can be distilled into two key components: upgrades and pathfinding. Does Fez have even one of those two? If not, it's not a Metroidvania.
That said, it's looking to be a gorgeous platform-puzzle game, and a definite buy for me.
Is it Friday yet?

I hope you're being facetious. After seeing this I can personally say that japanese games have been and will always be a cancer on the game industry's backside and have never contributed to anything good.

Any ETA on when/if this will be coming to Steam?
Don't think he will do a PC version based off his comments about comfy couch.
He will change his tone when the exclusivity wears off.

I'm never going to find everything in this game. This is ridiculous.
I'm under strict orders to only give the most cryptic of hints.Feep, how is it so far?
This is the first time I ever wanted to have a 360...oh well; in the meantime, while I wait for this to hit Steam, I'll just play Sky Island on Kongregate.
Here's a 3-minute clip I just uploaded on YouTube (with Microsoft's permission):

It's unrehearsed, first time I explored these areas, so my gameplay isn't super graceful.
I'm going to tell you right now that reviews are going to be all over the fucking place.supposedly EG put up the review for a couple of minutes before removing it, 5/10

I wonder how much of Phil's shenanigans will influence the scores.I'm going to tell you right now that reviews are going to be all over the fucking place.

So...someone who hates Japanese games....creates something with a studio Pixel art-style.
And instead of laughing at the absurdity of it, people are boycotting the game?
20 sec of Googling yielded this summary, so I am open to correction if I've misunderstood anything.
Where'd this info come from?

This won the IGF grand prize which is voted on by enthusiast press members. I expect plenty of glowing reviews.
