Fighting Games Weekly | April 1-7 | And after 0-3, he has risen

P4A also has really legit netcode.

SF4 netcode is like, the baseline of what is acceptable to me. If Injustice has netcode similar to SF4 in how well it works then I'll still play it, but I'll bitch a lot about it.

I like MK9 but the netcode is just fucking awful. Hopefully NRS has stepped up their netcode for Injustice. I keep hearing that it's supposed to be better but it's hard to really know until that shit goes live.

How the fuck did you beat me to posting my own CPM??? aaaAAAaa
But yeah, ChrisG went on a tear after losing to Angelic. That's only pools, I have most of his semi final matches up to top 8 (more destruction, it wasnt even close, not ever)

Anyone have a link the FR Sanford vs Infiltration sf4 match? I need it to gif Sanford's head bob, its going to make a awesome reaction gif.

I'll get Injustice for the single player anyways, since apparently the story mode is really good just like MK9. The Online is what keeps me around though. MK9 had really good ideas for online, but it wasn't executed well. I really hope they can pull it off this time.

I just hope they don't do the MK9 route of "massive gameplay patch every 2 days" for refining the game, and as far as I know they eased up on that later on. Just because players act like they want it doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Occasional patches are OK, but yeah they don't need to be that frequent.

Tekken characters are no more or less dumb than SF characters, well aside from stuff like Ogres, bears and robots. The bad ass quota is extremely high in Tekken... Bryan, Feng Wei, Raven, Bruce, Kazuya, Dragonuv, Law, Steve etc. Manly as fuck characters. A lot of the Tekken characters ended up looking bad because of bad art in SFxT.

I'll take the bears and the robots over the national stereotypes and Blanka.

Also because BEARS!

I think Namco has figured out how to get good netcode on their FGs along with ASW. Capcom and Netherrealms still have to prove their shit for online play.

AE netcode is bad. But it's just good enough that you don't realize how bad it is until you play a lot offline. Then it's like "hooooly shitfucks what have I been playing all this time."

AE online is barely tolerable for me these days.

Every company has their good and bad designs.

Capcom's design has improved over the years. Namco's has mostly declined.

Ogre is an alien weapon, and Bryan is basically terminator so he falls under robot as well :P

AE has pretty good netcode. Somehow Capcom managed to regress with MvC and SFxT though.
SFxT netcode is better than sf4's it just has really stupid ass sound problems at times, thus I play with the game muted.

No it doesnt. MVC1 netcode is superior to both. SFXT even with the rollback fixes patching the sound issues (but adding more input delay) is STILL better than SF4

Yea it's not really that good, you should see what it's like actually playing something with good netcode.

Also I can be the test subject for Injustice, was going to buy it anyway. At least I have people to play offline with in case the online sucks.

At least it's pretty consistent. If you see a green bar you will generally get a pretty good game. If it's red, don't play. With SFxT, I'm lagging and having rollbacks with most green connections.

edit: damn I had a lot of people jump on my post :lol
My SFxT and AE experiences are on PC. I've not had a good experience with the PC version of SFxT at all. I've played Marvel 3 on console a few times and it doesn't seem as good to me.

I dont like AE netcode that much. It really affects the gameplay even when it's smooth. Fuck Marvel 3's netcode though. SFXT was a step in the right direction, but once again, it was rushed out the door like every capcom release.

My bad, I meant MvC3 not MvC1. I know those classic re-releases have good netcode since they use GGPO. I haven't played much Marvel 3 but it didn't seem as good as AE's.

From my experiences, SFxT on PC is definitely a step down from AE on PC as far as netcode goes.

It's too bad they're all ass-backwards and trying to reinvent the wheel.

Well, there's actually a chance Capcom will have GGPO figured out next gen.

Stereotype fighter designs >>>> Anything Namco has ever come up with, except for a few SC characters like Voldo and Nightmare.

Wait, I can't even remember all the Americans.

There's Cody, Guy, Guile, Balrog, Viper, Rufus, Ken, and Rolento.
Are Sodom, Hugo, and Poison Americans?
