Marlinpie vs LordKnight
Good God.... Marlinpie is strong in Persona.

Was thinking on the car ride home- have Zero, Firebrand or C. Viper won a UMvC3 major?
I agree entirely. Capcom patching the disc to add new attacks and rebalancing for old characters for free, and selling the content portion of Ultimate, would have been best for all parties. I don't entirely blame Capcom, though. Microsoft and Sony charge a lot of money for a patch. From Capcom's perspective, it's throwing away $10,000+ instead of making money. Hopefully the next generation is more generous for everyone.I'm glad you see where I'm coming from, even though you don't agree. Talking with FightingGAF can be maddening. It's like they speak an entirely different language.
My argument boils down to something simple, really. Discs can add to the strength of a series, but they don't add value to the product you bought because your old disc is useless. Repeating this update pattern in short bursts is harmful. Paid updates(NOT patches) like AE give you the option of adding value which people are totally ecstatic about(despite some paranoia about DLC here and there). Free patches are the ultimate form of support and they can always be accompanied by extra DLC to offset costs for console patching fees. Is there anything you would disagree with in this paragraph? I think we can all agree that more of the second or third would be preferred over constant 9 month refreshes that piss people off more and more.
Those COUNTERS!damn that shit was good
This is neither true nor an actual problem. My argument boils down to something simple, really. Discs can add to the strength of a series, but they don't add value to the product you bought because your old disc is useless.
Do a Bearrel Roll!
Watching P4A is making the 2 month extra wait EU has worse.
Chris G still hasn't learned Aigis? If so hes gonna get real sad vs LK.
Maybe I'm understanding it wrong, but didn't Capcom sorta build up SFxT as the "sequel" to SF4? It's only natural it would get more support from Capcom as SF is a more important brand then Marvel.
I mean sure it didn't really work out in the end, as the game was slightly busted, and Capcom kept sabotaging themselves with stupid idea after stupid idea, but SFxT had the potential to be a much bigger game then Marvel.
I still think Capcom can salvage the game, at least make it good and fun, but they probably missed the boat on it ever taking the torch away from SF4 at this point.

I believe it is more the upcoming Vita version. They will want to salvage whatever they can from that. Once it is out and has done it's dash, watch them drop it like a stone.
How does that one persona attack work from Elizabeth? Is it like Abel's change of direction where you guess after the first rekka?
"i'm not going to name any names, but what does complexity have to offer me? nothing" -fanatiq
shots fired
also, fanatiq just officialy announced his retirement from MARVEL BibleThump. one less drama battery for the FGC and entertainment option :C
i still say sfxt had the workings to be HUGE. HELLA HUGE.
the game has style. the animations are excellent, the art direction is top-notch. the cast is likeable, the concept is solid. its just they started mixing good gaming ideas with bad BUSINESS idea. the gem system would have worked without the DLC dilemna keeping them from tournament play. . the whole Sony exclusive aspects of online/characters effectively nullified their chances in USA/UK where xbox rules all fighting games outside of "anime" fighters and KOF.
Pretty much, after the 2 hit slash she can either go into the roar attack or the grab. The roar has super armor, not sure about the grab.
To sucker someone into a Money Match? He just signed debuted his AGE team last weekend how the heck would he retire? lol

The Gem system was them not going "Wait, this would never work in an Arcade setting" and stopping it in its tracks. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
