Got my hands on a PS4 and the PS4 controller today. It's great, the resistance on the analogs especially is what blew me away. That and the dualshock now actually having triggers is huge. Feels really, really, sturdy as a piece of hardware. Only thing I'm iffy about is R1/L1 seem much flimsier than everything else and feel like they'll collect dust in the crevasses but otherwise it's as good as everyone says it is.

and its probably good for fighters and stuff

Just started watching Juicebox's Kim tutorial. I didn't know he was so good, I just picked him because flying around is so much fun and he sounds like Bruce Lee.

That flimsy part threw me off too. Hope they put more spring to it. Also, the analog's wear out pretty fast to my disappointment. Everything else though is golden.

Sadly I think it's a bit worse than the DS3 for fighters. The d-pad is still very accurate overall, but doing motions on it doesn't feel quite as good as it does on the DS3 to me. It still works great for 3D games though. Overall it's still decent enough that I'm going to use it this weekend, but I really wish they just went with a slightly bigger version of the Vita's d-pad.

You'd think there wouldn't be enough players on Aquapazza for bp frauds to exist, but you'd be wrong.

Rode a train over this AAA+ Tamaki who was utterly clueless.

Is it the guy who always, always, always does the rushing grab super on wakeup if he has meter?

I've been able to run into some real killers online, fortunately.
Lucky! All I seem to get are Manaka players of varying ability, our Tamaki friend, and a Multi player who comes with lag that I think actually neared half a second at times. Even good players can't make anything happen in that! Fun game, though.

That FA CJ used to dash into Ultra was kind of sick. That's one of the few perks about watching SF instead of playing it - you get to see all of the flash without actually losing to it.

Bedman is so cartoon-ish - like it stepped out of one of those old rubber hose cartoons where everything could just walk up and slap you silly. I love it. Doesn't really seem like its low HP balances out what it can do, but then again, low HP rarely does that.

And mashes 2A all day? Yup!

When you can write a player off as "that one who does [x]", and someone else chimes in knowing exactly who that player is, that's sad.

To be fair, I've done my share of waiting in an empty ranked lobby too. I've fought an utterly legitimate Chizuru and Haku and I wasn't able to get a win on either. My Oboro playing friend actually found another serious Oboro player while on my account and the two exchanged tech, most notably each of their Hype Combos.

Hell, tonight I found somebody in a player lobby who knew how to play Riannon.

Kim and Iori are the two SNK characters who are most likely to be scumbags in any SNK game.

So no one plays AP online? I thought about the game at times- but Chizuru scares me.

Wouldn't be surprised if part of Bedman's inspiration came from Peacock... I mean, if Potemkin's redesign isn't enough of a clue about Ishiwatari's impression of Skullgirls.

~10% of it is Megaman characters too

Someone's salty about Megaman... lmao.

It's possible to get matches, but not that easily.

Fortunately, most Chizuru players I've run into either don't know what they're doing or simply aren't amazing. Once you know to watch out for her overhead and that most of her other moves are unsafe on block, you can do rather well. She definitely has the tools to be lethal in the right hands, though.

I wouldn't worry about that -- she is broken as all hell, but that's offset by the fact that pretty much anyone playing her in America is going to suck. Or you could just pick Konomi or Tamaki.

I would be up to play... but I just play Tamaki and mash on 2A and Godpress a lot (but I'm not the player Hitokage was referring to, since I mash on command grabs too). And then shit like this happens.

LOL

I forgot about that.

Wasn't he late to his panel at an anime convention cause he was busy talking art with Ahad and the rest of the Skullgirls design team?
