You can't airdash/double jump out of Skrull hitting you meaty on incoming. How does this not make sense?

it doesn't hit meaty immediately even when called meaty, is the thing- there's some time between where the character falls in and when the assist hits 'em (because they fall into it), which allows them to move vertically away from the assist

also the answer is always pity, pity meeeee

edit:

That's because Taskmaster/Skrull is not guaranteed but a properly timed FB + Tenderizer is inescapable even with double jump and air dash.

it's been awhile since i've made this vid and tried all it out. this vid was a 'oh shit, this might work! gotta get it out quickly' deal but it kinda gets across the idea i'm trying to say too. look at the height they're coming in at vs the angle of the tenderizer. i kept tryin' at different angles to get it to hit truly meaty, but the height they come in at vs the angle of the tenderizer meant they always had the chance to get out if they could do that stuff. though like i said, it's been awhile so feel free to call me out on whatever's wrong with the tenderizer assist calls.

also advancing guard doesn't stop the task/skrull thing though it does make it way more annoying to convert off of with the followup to the headbutt because you have to delay it slightly

how do you guys even find this stuff..

that Dio/backstreet boys thing is still stuck in my head, and that was posted months ago

the heck did I just watch
LOL, I can't stand idol master mostly because they are so lifeless/robotic looking. It's like some chuck'e'cheese stage show level shit :lol

Oh lawd, The World just bailing out in the back lol

This advice stuff on the show reminds of the time when Gootecks was depressed and was making random videos just talking about life.

This is the first time I've seen Mike Ross with a stache and beard. I almost didn't recognize him.

Let's see, E3 is in early June and EVO is in early July.

Someone mentioned before that Arcsys wanted to get a demo of GGXrd up at E3. Assuming that ends up being the case I think it's possible they might do the same for EVO.

That kind of thing has happened before hasn't it? I swear I remember some developer demoing a new game at EVO before it released later in the year.

I'd like to see them demo at EVO and release later on in the year with near parity for the ENG version.

The only reason I mention launch date parity is because they did it before with Blazblue: Calamity Trigger. That was the first game in the series and its debut in North America.

I'd like to believe that Arcsys wants to handle GGXrd in a similar manner, as a way to re-introduce Guilty Gear to English audiences.

Aren't you guys bored with SF4? Its been the same shit for 5 years now.

Not at all. I still love to play Super Turbo more than two decaded later and am always looking to play (if I have the time). Same with SF4.

People still play Super Turbo after 20 years. A good SF game is eternal.

Preach.

Also, has anyone been to the Twitch plays Pokemon channel, it's super effective popular. I wonder if something like that could be done with fighting games.

Keep in mind that there is a LOT of latency between the actual game and what's on stream. When people commentate they are watching the stream feed not the live feed.

As interesting as it would be with fighting games, for something that isn't turn based (which makes it easier, although still difficult), the delay is killer. The delay of the stream is somewhere between 15-45 seconds, and different rates will affect things differently.

Here's a picture I took of the countdown timer during ESGN's fight night to give you an idea:

the fuck did I just return to this thread to?

After collecting myself (it took a good hour) and watching the "Ante Up" mashup, there's no other conclusion to come to other than "Ante Up" is a f'n classic, and goes with everything (not the other way around, that anime goes with everything).

That said, the "Ante Up" mashup dropped my jaw. I'm still stumbling over it.

I remember that. The employees said I might not be able to play it because I didn't have an Evo badge, and I had to ask Mr. Wizard. I asked him. he said no. :(

Will arcsys have P4A2 and Xrd at the same E3 event though?

because P4A2 has to come out first

I don't think it'll be there this year personally. Maybe TGS

Since when hasn't ArcSys ever decided to cannibalize sales of its own IPs by announcing or releasing things with bizarre timing?

Since always?

The only people who hold that perspective are fair weather US fans, who can't seem to play the game coming out in front of them because of the new arcade version of another one of their games releasing in Japan.

Persona 4 Arena/The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold are not Arc System Works games.

Atlus is publisher but it still fits into their release timeline.

Xrd still needs it's exclusivity time in arcade so it doesn't make sense to release it in such close proximity to P4A. Not only would sales eat into each other at retail, but releasing it so soon without another new arcade game in the chamber only hurts them on that end.(something else ArcSys hasn't done in years. Release a home version without a new arcade version of something being announced)

Unless they really think Xrd's overseas potential is that valuable and that profitable I don't see why they'd change their game plan up so much this time around. Especially when there's no rush to next gen right now for japanese developers

I think what he means is that Atlus decides when the game is going to be released, not Arcsys.

Since they are the publisher. I also imagine that Atlus' target audience for the game is primarily fans of Persona 4 and the previous Arena game.
