Fighting Games Weekly | July 13-19 | Stream Monster Yearly: Evolution 2015

It's funny because it's more than it had last year when it broke the record.
For a dead game, it did it's job

Honestly, I think any game in its spot would have done the job.

Saturday had six different streams going on and the viewers were split amongst them. It was more cohesive on Sunday where the main stream was getting most of the attention (I am assuming). In result, I wouldn't really put much credence to these final stream views. Timing and placement had a large role to play in the final viewer count. Though, even I can't deny Tekken is one of the few games that kills stream views substantially so maybe except Tekken, other games could have done just as well as Marvel.

I edited my post cause that made no sense. He wasn't necessarily losing, so what Momochi got the first hit? That isn't a deciding factor to who is going to win when its that early in the match. All I'm saying is the pressure was more on GB with his situation compared to Momochi. If you look at it from both of the player's perspectives, GamerBee's situation is more stressful.

Edit:

Don't make me have to list it out now in case any one asks.

This makes sense lol, I completely forgot that this was the case. This would have been one of most controversial EVO wins to date. Mix in with all the points brought beforehand, it was a mix and the pause killed it.

Apparently I'm an asshole for thinking this and feeling like GB could have won.

People were rooting for gamerbee to win so they're twisting the events to fit some goofy narrative they've made up so gamerbee can win in their minds. Let it go.

The pause was so long that it was almost like they were playing an all new game, for 1 round to decide EVO.

Momochi would still have won imo, but it was a shitty situation all around. Not taking anything away from the players though.

Marvel has been around 130-135k almost all top 8. It started leveling up during losers finals (I was checking).

It made pretty much same views than last year. It's just that MKX, Smash and USF made more in the constant view (MKX 170, Smash and USF 190). Ultra surpassed 200 during winners finals. but until losers finals didn't top melee (Also checked by myself)
