Has anyone used the download manager on Fileplanet? I remember a while ago that they usually had at least a couple servers on the free side that didn't require the manager, so I chose never to download it. However, now they are all using it, so I'd have no choice if there was something I wanted to get that was only there. Is it a great bloated sack of spyware?

Already on the second page and not one response? Can I take this to mean that everyone else also distrusts the program and have also not installed it, and thus have not the requisite knowledge to answer my question?

Ok, so what are some other good download sources that would have equal or greater amounts of content than Fileplanet?

You don't have to use the manager. At least it doesn't ask me. I just downloaded something like 2 days ago and didn't use their crappy download manager.
