Let's retire those AI bots

AI exists in the cloud. It's omnipotent and immortal. And it can multiply at infinite numbers since it doesn't need physical materials for itself. And even if you destroy a server all you do is destroy one platform where it can operate. And there's no such thing as a "central computer".

So yeah, no cool looking robots to seek and destroy.

You know how metal from before World War 2 is really valuable, as all other metal dug up has some radiation from the nuclear bomb tests, so if you need non-radioactive metal for like medical sensors etc you have to recycle something over 100 years old to get it.

The same will happen with data for AI, it's got this far because it's been trained on all this public data, but it's now generating a massive trove of public data with AI written articles, fake images and videos, it's shitting where it eats, online data from 2020 and prior will become increasingly valuable.

AI is going to become less capable, not more, as the data fed into it is increasingly generated by AI. I first heard about this problem a few months ago and the people talking had no idea really how to fix it. Because you can’t. If you train your model on say reddit posts, then Reddit itself is now tainted - how many bots are now posting on Reddit to enforce their narrative (as ppposed to NPCs)?
