I'm just sad because I quite like them when I'm in the Philippines. But as soon as I get back home and see Filipinos on ah pair jobs here, there's a total lack of respect towards culture and traditions. We had a tradition for more than a decade about opening Christmas presents at a certain time, they broke it. They shake their heads and looks at each other like I'm weird when I say I don't believe in God and Jesus, and then try keep on talking to me about it. I have first hand experience with SU pairs sending presents back to their families they got from their host families while they lie and says they lost it. There's a bunch of Filipinos staying here illegally after their contract have ended and then criticize our people at the same time. Etc. etc etc.I get what you mean. That's the kind of zealous nationalism that makes enemies, and Filipinos are in no position to assert themselves better than anyone else.
I'm trying to be optimistic and all but wow it ain't easy.
I mean, after all I don't dislike Filipinos when I visit in the Philippines. So that's one thing.
