The End

1) Is a price/date for the PSP known?

2) Has everyone stopped being such a cocktease about picking up Lumines and announced a domestic release?

3) What kind of devilry has EA been up to now?

4) Is Shining Tears any good?

5) Is there anything else I missed?

this man speaks the truth

And shining tears, is it "awful by series standards" like, say, the Shining Soul games, or is it just plain bad? I could go for a dark alliance-esque hack&slash with a bit of j-style to it.

Resident Evil 4 came out and is soiling pants across North America.

Aye, this has probably been the news of the last week or so. Check the sticky for more details.

Sorry The End. Couldn't resist.

Shining Tears sucks? Really? Damnit, we need clarification, STAT.

BTW, you may have missed that the PS2 Shining Force is now called Shining Force Neo and seems to be more like a Kingdom Hearts type game. It's now an action RPG with computer controlled allies, not a SRPG by any means, despite retaining the Shining Force name.

Apparently stars Max, yes, the hero of the original Shining Force. *grimace*

Right, I'm aware of the changes that have been made to the new SF, but Shining Tears is a completely different game. According to Sega, it's going to release here on 3/22.

Bebpo put it best:

"the official trailers were cut in a way you couldn't tell the game ran at 5-10FPS in COMPLETE SLOW MOTION. ARGHHH, even just thinking about the hour I spent with the game and it's crappy controls (partly due to the slow motion everything), horrible animation (looks like flash), and just lame everything was too much. I mean when the slowdown is so bad even just READING TEXT BOXES runs in slow motion...wow...the game has like the opposite of polish.

Within a few days of release I must've seen 30 used copies at the game stores :P I was dumb and didn't sell mine when I could still get at least 50%.

The only rpgs I've ever shelved without finishing this gen are WA3 and ST. At least I stuck with WA3 for 10 hours. There was no way I was going to put ST in my system again after one play session. >.<

Shining Tears is so awful it makes you want to break the game. At least that's how I felt from the one and only hour I will ever put into that game.

Wow, I was expecting the worst (after buying BOTH Shining Soul games) but this actually breaks my expections... in a bad way.

The End, I wasn't trying to confuse your ST query. I know that ST and SFN are two completely different games. Just making sure you knew what was up with SFN as well.

Any chance ST might get cleaned up a bit for it's US release? Any updated impressions or hands ons with the US version?

Was it ever confirmed who the developers for ST and SFN were? Last I heard ST was being handled by the Shining Soul team (Salamander?) and SFN in house at Sega...

"Sera is a man"

I was wondering wtf they were talking about for about 4 hours until i realized it was a last name. But anyway, that was a clever reference to really sum up the last week.
