Congrats! Even now, beating Gilgamesh the legit way is a real accomplishment. Most people just cheese him I think, either by killing him in one turn or using an evasion carry unit.

Yeah, double daily quest lapis for a week feels like an afterthought with some of the other anniversary stuff we've been getting. Maybe this is a deliberate cooldown week before we go cold turkey at the end of the month?
Now the question is, will they delay XI even further or will they finally release NieR next week?
If they don't release NieR, what was even the point of announcing it so soon? If they delay XI even more, will they bother to tweak the trash raid banner with King Minituars/Family Turtles?

Pushing out a raid this week and starting the month with MK event would have been the move, I think. Get into the same schedule as JP with MK at the beginning of the month (usually the most popular FF mainline banners), enhancements/story mid month and raid at the end of the month.
Hard to imagine them doing raid next now as this would mean another week or two with no real energy sink.
It's done!!! I have no words, I have no idea how I managed to slog through that, some truly awful moments...Took around 4 hours with 2 hours prior just setting up my team...(thanks so much to shin and qon).
I was not expecting the "No Magic" to pop up as I thought I must have used something which was Magic whilst trying to stay alive. Anyway...wow...that was just an insane marathon consisting of such tense moments. Don't want to be doing anything like that for quite a while!
Yesterday I went Left Arm > Right Arm > Body, but only got 4 kills into the Left Arm and got wiped, it was just taking too long and now I know I definitely would have struggled if I kept going.
Today I wanted a new strategy so ended up going Body > Right Arm > Left Arm
(I thought that was it when I got onto the Right Arm as it was pummelling all my units to death. Lucily either Tilith or Rikku were the only ones alive to recover, but it was not fun at all, especially after all the previous hours. Worst moment I've had in this game since launch).
My team:
So first of all, I need to say a MASSIVE thank you to qon, as around 12:13 today we started discussing the idea of going down the brute force route and using two Orlandeaus to chain. He was kind enough to build an Orlandeau for me which I could chain with. He equipped Klyomori, Dandelga, Rider's Helm, Demon Mail, Genji Glove (one day...) and a Bracer. I matched the non elemental / fire setup with Genji Blade, Crimson Saber, Black Cowel, Demon Mail, Bracer and a Ruler's Ring. We made sure my Maxwell had the highest attack on my team (with his auto revive buff on).
For the Fire Imperil, I needed to use either Ace or Seven, as I had both of those, but they needed to be enhanced...Ended up going with Seven and took the risk by using my Power Crysts to perform my very first Ability Awakening! (x2!):
Started the fight around 2pm and finished around 6pm. The fight got easier when the body was under 50% as he stopped casting World Destroyer, so each round was safe and consistent. But then went crazy when the two arms were left, until the Right Arm was defeated.
Thanks a lot to qon and shin for starting the whole discussion off and all the help, and thanks to Fantastic Mr Trout and DrROBschiz for loads of tips and support throughout. Also, thanks for Rixa and Valentus for cheering me on towards the end

I actually ended up getting an Esper kill with this fight too, as the Left Arm died when I cast only Ramuh.
So yeah...wow..
Time to get my Arena team back to how it was and carry on as normal...don't want to think about that fight again.

Yeah thats really some dedications...grats to everyone who could clear it - dont have the team or would wanna spend that much time on a battle. I gotta hope that powercreep will make it somewhat easier early 2018....or that i pull that Uber Healer Brave Exvius unit.

I'm using two Victorias on JP and her chain is weird as fuck, if I start from below (3rd to 1st position) it won't chain but if I start from above (1st to 3rd position) it does. Why the fuck is this happening?
Edit: this shit is not even consistent, sometimes it chains others it doesn't, wtf.
Edit2: figured it out. She doesn't chain of I do it too fast LOL. This is the first character I've seen this happen.

Geezus congrats. I really need to catch up. I haven't beat the anything beyond the espers yet.
Schedule is still following the same pattern for the past two months, they shook it up back a few months again, but that seemed more to incorporate their own events/raids where it got messy around March. Now it's streamed lined a bit more.

Week 1 - Raid
Week 2 - Mog King
Week 3- Story
Week 4 - Content

Arianna won't bring a new banner, unless we get some more GL exclusive. Didn't they say they were working on a new character for her event.
Nor do I feel like they'll leave us with a banner of repeat characters. They've left us a few weeks without a new banner, but typically they've been weeks of new continent release or their GL exclusive events like Easter.
My guess, I think they planned for the energy drain for this week to be the new content and trial.
I assume they would be slipping in Arianna again either on a week of one of the events in between this month. Leaning more towards the first option unless they really added a lot of content to it.

That's why it would go well with a raid event as an energy sink.
JP has pretty much always had new story+trials as more of a bonus to other events. People get through story stuff in a matter of day or two and trial is a very hit or miss thing, many just don't have the means to do them...or they finish it in 50 en.

That Magnolia TM looks amazing. It would go great with Aranea, and eventually would go great with Reberta on GL.
Also, it l Looks like the Bravely Default mobile game will also be getting a FFBE event. FFBE characters in Bravely Default art style looks surprisingly good.

I thought for a bit there he wouldn't even get a banner unit with all those troll golds. Not sure what the context was but he got desperate enough to do full-priced lapis pulls.
I got 7 Magnolia already, I'm fusing them together as I won't need nor get enough Moogles for more than 4 TMs. Her drop rate is also insanely high, poor dude. So many troll golds lmao.
What I really want is Tiz though, that sword would be incredible for me right now but unfortunately I was trolled with Emperor Shera which I can't equip nor will have friend units to make use

JPN is on more of a 10 day schedule, while GL is weekly. Our bye week is the continent update/trial. Rather than slipping it in with another event like JPN.
I do agree, I think AG is going to come out either the week of the Raid or end of the month when it gets light again. Middle will be a bit much with Mog King and Story Event happening for 2 weeks.

I used the JP brute force strat, where I did damaged the right arm's, then killed the body, killed the right arm, and then finally the left arm.
Some of you would think that it would've been easy with my party, but I had a bit of trouble in the beginning of the fight, since I forgot to equip my Fryevias properly so the damage aren't as high as I'm seeing in some videos.
The big takeaways are:
I'll have to do this again, but I think I will try to replace a Fryevia with a high ATK King with Counter and Dispel duty.

- Remember to have a full esper bar when you kill the body. The arms do NOT drop esper orbs and LB crystals. A bunch of people reminded me on Discord but it was too late.
- I did the JP-style fast route (rather than just straight Body/Right/Left) because I never figured out how to keep Rikku's LB up if you don't have multiple Jack/Kelsus/CoD TMs. Yes, high tide makes it easier, but it's a multiplier rather than generator.
- I wanted the SPR break, AoE raise, and Entrust, so unlike Valentus I brought Ling instead of Bartz.
- I didn't realize, until this fight, that Tilith has a dispel and an AoE dispel.
I'll have to do this again, but I think I will try to replace a Fryevia with a high ATK King with Counter and Dispel duty.

i thought it was weird you couldn't do it with tillith and rikku but just needed to find some creative way to get you more damage
probably should have enhanced ace's tri-laser instead though. it's just 1 more purecryst but ace has better mileage than seven

Must have been a good moment.Yeah I was close with a strategy yesterday but it was just taking far too long to take the arms down, and then it would have gotten too messy. Couldn't pull of Aileens chain either. I really needed a change in strategy and was determined to do it today. I hadn't really used Ace or Seven outside of their banner events and when we discussed their enhancements we thought it was a risk as the tactic might not work and the Crysts go to waste. I didn't know how much more expensive Ace was compared to Seven, probably could have gone for him, but oh well
can always save up now as that was the first time I used Crysts. Thanks a lot! I think there were people who went the Arms first route few pages back who took way more hours. I just had to keep dispelling the Body and chaining Divine Ruination. So even the brute force way took quite a while. I was doing some work from home today so was on my laptop, then had the game beside me, along with Discord on the iPad. I then realised I needed to pay attention for when he does World Destroyer

Is it just me or is Helena's TM BiS for Rikku? She doesn't have innate auto refresh as well so it covers one of her weaknesses.
[JP] Haven't really been playing but just been logging in for dailies. Half priced daily. Off banner again. Used a 4* ticket. Rainbow (I just want Yu lol). Agnes. Is she any good lol? Her TM looks good but the unit looks a bit meh. Used another ticket. Yu. Finally. Just want his TM for Gabranth (who I still don't really understand how to use but I like the aoe damage mitigation) and Camille.
At least I have 4 of the 5 limited units now. Hopefully can get all their TMs but will need to start playing again. I need to get the game on my phone really. Playing on my PC is great but the portability of a phone makes it a lot easier.

Even not understanding what he was saying, you could still get the general idea through his emotions and the occasional English word. While not a lot of pulls, that gold and rainbow luck was absurd. I was chuckling the whole time.

It's bad enough here, but in JP she's even further out-classed. You have equal chances of getting CG Sakura and Lightning, that shouldn't even be legal.
Lightning is bound to have some upgrade again, it's Japan's favorite FF character after all.

By the way, how difficult it is for you to keep Emperor alive?
Mipc took 5 hours with Emperor MAG 927, seriously i don't know how the guy on reddit beat it in 2 hours. Bis Emperor MAG should be around MAG 980-990, so should not be much different.

Gabranth is a provoke tank and attacker. So you want to stack as much defense as you can because his attacks have a defense as attack mod on them but I assume his attack also factors in so get that as well, lol. You basically rotate his provoke with his other skills to deal damage, keep up his being targeted, and keep his damage reduction going unless you have someone else like Rikku doing it.
I did not see the follow-up video, but now I did and that was great too, lol.
Troll in the sense he didn't want but Gladio is a pretty solid tank with countering abilities at least. He'd be pretty sick for Provoke/Targeted Cover shenanigans if there ever is a need for it.

All I can do is a second Magical Crest instead of Earring, don't want to lose even more attack so I keep Seal pf Destruction.
Well, I kept Rikku's LB up all the time, so that was my defensive buff (Lvl25 = +74% DEF/SPR).
Didn't use Hyper NulAll until the 3rd phase (body), so it was just luck if Emperor survived. (Had WoL provoking the whole fight though).
It was like a stab to the heart when Emperor died, your damage plummets from 200k (400k or more with Ling's SPR break and the occasional Focus from Cecil) to 20k.
He died around 8 to 10 times I believe, maybe less.
What was the HP for Emperor?
I can get him up to 5600 HP with 741 magic.
This thing would be easier if we had emperor enhancements.

It is definitely suck that there is no TMR that give MAG and HP together. And lowering MAG even more will make the fight longer.
Not that it really help to be honest. My 5000hp Ling keep dying.
He was just over 4k.
Remember he is the only damage dealer so i think you should keep his MAG as high as possible.
He is still a mage so, if he was going to die in a turn, he will regardless of HP (Maybe).
The only tip I can give is to try somehow to have WoL with the highest ATK of the party (Still provoking every round).
I had Rikku with the highest ATK, so that gave me some problems from time to time.
Ling was the star here. She had Rikku's Pouch for Eccentric, SPR breaks, MP Battery and the godly Entrust (With Cecil's 4 attacks on the body).
