Recently all my torrents have slowed down considerably, and p2p programs are having problems connecting to servers

I have a dlink router and windows firewall on, anyone have any suggestions?

I don't think I changed anything but I may be mistaken

bittorrent uses 6881-6999 usually for ports, check your router settings to see if they're open. Also check your other p2p programs for what ports they use.

If your router settings are all set to default and you haven't set up anything.

Go into your browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. Type admin as your username and leave the password bar blank.

Then click advanced button, then applications on the side. Then if your application hasn't been inputted, add a new one and place the port range needed, enable and add it in. Done.

The fucked up thing is that my IP is DMZ so all this shouldnt matter :s

Could it be something else that is preventing limewire and winmx from connecting and slowing down my torrents?
