Looks about what I expected. Has it been made clear what the second screen is for? Seems to be a menu for using special attacks, support characters and items...?

That's about right from what I heard.... I'm gonna watch it in a second though, pretty curious about this game. :)

You hit the nail on the head. I can't watch the freaking video, though. Stupid school PC :(

Now we wait for Olimario to post the same topic tonight!

Looks good, not interested myself though...

Vid ain't that good, the screenshots and scans had a whole lot of color.... The real gameplay wasn't really present. Only thing you see is a tutorial of sorts, so you don't get the sense speed yet that this game is going to run at. Still gonna get it though, it looks very very cool....

Well i'm quite disappointed, maybe the video isn't that good, the colors are so bad...
Yeah, the video capture is horrible, especially in comparison to that last scan we saw of the old shots, but nonetheless the game looks alright. Going off low quality video is hard, but it looks like it needs some touch ups still, especially in the animation department, maybe it's just me, but it seemed a little underpar, but other than that it looks pretty good, can't wait to see how the marketing goes for this though. Decent campaigns just in Jump would really dazzle sales.

I hope that there is some kind of wireless item training in the game. Stick a bit of that in there to sustain sales. People eat that kind of stuff up.

That shit looks broke as all hell.

Goku = god tier!

But really, the game looks cool and all but I'm getting the feeling that it wont be as deep or as fun as I would want it.

Looks decent.

I watched my bro play DBZ: Budokai 3 today... That would have been an excellent direction for this game -- DBZB3 is surprisingly good. I could only imagine how kinetic it would be with more than two players onscreen.

If you can't be Sasuke and use his eyes to copy Goku's moves and then subsequently explode by trying to use them, then no sale for me :lol

I kinda hope at some point the zoom out with the camera a bit like they do in ssbm. Over all it looks pretty solid but does any one else feeling that the game looks a little slow???

Like it was said before, this is just a tutorial. You don't get to see any real action yet. I think it can be pretty hectic with 4 characters (who can switch) on screen at once. Not to mention the supporting characters that come to join the fray.

We'll have to wait for some sort of trailer or true ingame gameplay movie..

sorry to say that but it looks like another GBA game after Castlevania DS whereas the DS could make better graphics. I hope the gameplay will be fun anyway :)

interest dropping, especially when i realized i dont know anyone with a DS to play with, and if I did, I doubt I can convince 4 of my friends to import a game thats in japanese :<

Exactly. Not really what I thought it would be.

this is not coming to the western countries?

seems like they added team attacks. it's definitely looking great.

don't care for any of the characters in the game, but the gameplay will all be there so....gotta get it.

I guess that all depends on how good it's Japanese sales will be and how difficult it will be to sort out the licensing. I don't think sales will be a problem (:)) but I have no idea about the licensing difficulties.

I think he's saying Castlevania DS makes this look like a GBA game.

Well when I play Super Mario 64 DS, and then I take a looks to those screens and movie... I realize that the DS can make better graphics but anyway, that's not the real goal for DS games.

Thanks Vashu!!

Oh alright, then I apoligize, I agree! Though the video makes it look even worse, almost GBC quality.

uh which video?
The one in this thread, the colors are so washed out and nearly nonexistent that it's almost as if it's lacking a palette. Though, it's definitely the poor capture, I certainly wouldn't say the game looks like that after seeing the screens in the scan I posted in this thread.

I see what you're getting at, with this game definitely, and I feel the same way. Though, something like CVDS I can't say the same for, there's a lot of detail and work going into it that it far surpasses what the GBA versions have done, plus I think it'll definitely animate much more fluidly than its predecessors. If thatt urns out the case, I think it rivals, and perhaps passes SOTN in terms of visual quality. We'll see.

Regardless though, yeah, DS could definitely do more impressive 2D I bet, am I disappointed? Not really, it's not as if I found GBA's 2D visuals disgusting, they were, in many cases, quite beautiful.

Hm. I'm not so much into manga, really, but if this comes over here and some friends would be willing to get it too, it could make for some great MP.

Yeah, it's a pretty poor video.

I want direct feed of real gameplay, dammit. A full character listing would be nice too.

Bah you guys go on with crap. This game has already created history, exactly on the scale of Smash Bros - and all you guys worry about is a tutorial video being shitty quality as well as multiplaying problems due to no friends. Get back on your bikes and start pedalling!

Man they even have Eyeshield 21 characters on there. FUCKING EYESHIELD!!

:lol Watch out I can hear Mama smurf coming

Fuck, I have a reputation now? At least this one does look quite like something the GBA could pull off, though I guess there could be effects and things going on which it couldn't.

As others have said, it's just a training video, so hardly thrilling. Half the time the opposing characters are just standing still ready to be hit. The few segments that seem to show proper gameplay seem a lot faster.
