First Look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in The Witcher Season 5

Liam Hemsworth is playing Geralt of Rivia. It wasn't easy to spot him at first. Liam had two body doubles on set, Redanian Intelligence reports, one for standing in, and one for doing stunts. But after trying a few times, we now have our first real look at Liam as Geralt!

In the scenes being filmed, we saw knights riding horses and asking about Geralt. These knights work for Queen Meve. She sent them after Geralt and his friends because they had left her army earlier.

You noped out the exact same time as me lol. I tried man. The first season wasn't perfect but it was mostly fine, had potential, made me excited for the second season and what it could do with renewed direction and lots of feedback and notes.

What'd they do?

Completely ignored all the feedback, piss on the notes, and take a colossal shit on the original source material.

I can't believe Sapkowski spoke more positively of the show than the games....how could he see the show as faithful to the books when he criticized the games? Great writer, but man his opinions are easily swayed by money on offer, as evidenced by how he let the rights for the games originally go for a paltry sum that he later regretted.

This show deserved to be good. The books are outstanding, spot on dark fantasy adventures. The games are absolutely great as well, with Witcher 2 being comparable to Chrono Trigger in replayability for me, and that's quite a compliment from me. I can't wait till the dust clears and Cavill speaks his mind on the show's head runner and her.... interpretation....of Sapkowski's work. Should make for a good read, if nothing else.

He is just salty that the games are what made the world well known and not his books. The first couple of books i read weren't bad but that guy was super salty about it.

Hot take : he looks better as Geralt than Cavill ever did, dude was way too buff for the role.

Anyway, not that it matters since this show was the epitome of "mediocre" and i bailed on S02 - not that S01 was anything spectacular with the awful casting, forced political correctness (it's Netflix after all), terrible cinematography, terrible sets and mediocre acting.

Don't think that anyone will.miss this show (and especially the fans).

Netflix is cancer

The show end up being a low budget mockumentary of The Witcher series. Henry Cavill was the best part of the show but it can't get over the terrible writing and decisions by the writers.

I can understand not having the budget and getting a shitty cg dragon but why is Dandelion/Jaskier sleeping with Radovid? Where are the Slavic roots in the storytelling? Where is the deeply grey political nature that serves as the backdrop to the monster killing?

The first season was excellent, the second was okish. I watched only one episode of the season 3. I really like the Witcher, I played all three games and read all the books but I don't know, Netflix loose it?

Liam is a better actor than Henry.
recastings suck, especially when it's the main character. The series died to me when he was recast, not because of who the actor was or who he was replaced with, but just for the fact of recasting. Dont care if it was jared leto and now it's daniel day lewis. Cant see another person as the same main character in the same show,
