First Look At PSN Pass Sticker (Does this peel off easily?)

Apparently the PSN Pass is delivered as a sticker on top of Resistance's decorative cd case.

Does anyone know if this peels off easily? This seems kind of destructive to not deliver as a card.

Most certainly, and whilst the whole thing kicked off way before either Sony or Insomniac were wanting it to, the official reveal brought plenty of comments with many feeling that the concept of having to pay extra to play online unless you bought a game brand new was a little unfair – to say the least.

Regardless, as the quick shots of the press kit show, it’s very much real. We’ve obviously blurred out the code (as it’s not been entered yet) but you’ll see how the sticker looks and although the retail boxes will be obviously different we’d assume that the code will be printed in a similar way on the store-bought versions.

And yes, that’s Resistance 3, the first game that’ll use the new Online Pass system.

I never look at the box of a game once the disc has been removed so ain't a problem.

Almost certainly no chance of removing it without leaving a mark.
 
That's not even too bad in my opinion. But yeah I'll bet regular consumers will get a paper insert. Now spill the beans and start shooting reviews at us!
 
I love online passes! Very innovative way to increase the value of my games. Thanks game industry.
 
Why exactly would they leave it on the box? That literally makes no sense and is logistically impossible. Tons of codes would be stolen if they did it that way because you know Best Buy and other stores leave the cases on the rack.

It pretty much has to be an insert card / sticker on the inside of the case.

Stupid concept begets stupid sticker.

I mean the work put into the game's art should take precedence over this kind of thing, in my opinion.

What would that do? If the code is still visible to the naked eye, you would just write down the code and use it on your used copy when you get home. The only way it'd work if it was on the cover is if it was a scratch off. It seems most logical that it would go on the back of the game manual or an insert into the actual box itself.
 
Is that the whole press kit? Just that paper case? Because if so, a sticker would make more sense than an insert which could easily fall out. You wouldn't have that problem with the game box though.

I posted the retail build IG posted its not there, why would it be?
 
It's the press kit. They're not going to put the code on the outside of the retail box guys. Think about it.

:/ I keep my games for life so Im picky about what i buy and don't just rush a game to move onto the next. looks like a good way to stop shops acting like a rent shop

I dont get any anyone that play games like that dont just rent games, To late now most devs will start doing this type of thing now
 
What is the question being asked in this thread to warrant continued postings of the retail box? Why is the outside of the box being compared to the inside of a foldable kit, surely, this is not the first-time most have seen a dual disc sleeve? Where did sixthaxis even imply that the sticker would be on the outside of the box on the retail kit?
