How does the Intergalactic trailer look so smooth?

Doesn't look smooth to me. Looks like 60 FPS. Can see the jitters and ghosting.

And we're done here. I feel like OP is one of those guys who plays at 30fps a lot.
I don't play games that are below 60 FPS.

Turn off motion smoothing on your TV.
I'm watching this on my 60 Hz laptop.

Don't blame console gamers for not knowing what 60 fps looks like.
60 FPS has been the standard on consoles throughout this whole gen. The games I play the most (Part I and II) run at 70+ FPS.

Reason I pull up the old video is to show that whatever you see teased from the trailer doesn't mean it will be what the end product will look like.

I also remember everyone was convinced that Uncharted 4 was hyped as a game that runs at 60fps.
Again, you bring up videos before 2020.

That tells me all I need to know. And I'm not even saying Intergalactic is 60 fps.

People talking about great ND animation when literally 95% of the cast is real actors acting in real mocap suits lol. As I said before theres nothing "stunning" about using scans and movements of real actors in a game, they are just copy pasting everything from a green screen onto a game background with 5000 white balls on their face to trak every facial muscle movement. Also, its painfully obvious the pirate patch lady is a designed character and it looks so gamey compared to the bald dudette.

Remain to be seen how it plays. It will have its fans that already prefer ND games for how they play.
Ofcourse, because it's one of the highest quality in modern day gaming, in large part due to their animations.

People really ignore the importance of animations, because they play a key role in how smooth a game looks or feels.

Whether or not their games are interesting enough is a different matter though.
Personally, couldn't give two shits about any ND game outside of TLOU 1 and 2.
Will need to see gameplay of Intergalactic first.

Just as an addition to this: A couple of years ago, there were quite a few papers published about using neural networks to do mocap without the need for markers. I wouldn't be surprised if commercial systems like this are already available at this point. So you don't even need makers anymore.
