This has been my geek wet dream for so long...Finally a stargate game. It better blow my socks off cauz a world and story this developped out of the box is a game makers dream and if they screw it up, they shouldnt make another game ever again.

I remember loving the movie when it came out. I think I rented that SNES game. I've never watched the show. I'd assume the playstation game is based on the show?

Yes it's based on the show. And as a big Stargate fan I think this looks like ass. Just look at the serpent guard model... horrible.

why is stargate so popular? When I saw the movie (many years ago) I thought it had that B-Sci fi feeling over it.

Series = Spectacular.

I'm surprised they even let you go through it with the main cast but I was planning on getting the Xbox version ever since it was announced. The better have access to non-Earth weapons though. Zat, Staff weapon etc.

Hopefully it'll look a bit better on the PC running at a decent resolution and with some AA-these PS2 screens look pretty gross IMO.

For the poster who asked the original question. It just started season 9 so it's up to around 155 episodes so far. Plus the spinoff, Stargate Atlantis just began season 2 and that probably has around 20+ eps.

Hmm.. I wonder if they'll keep or have a variation of the Sci-fi intro? Action scenes spliced in with closeups of the cast complete with the music and all. All in game of course.

Oh and i hope decent voice acting is a given.
