The official description of Anemone calls the film "an absorbing family drama … about lives undone by seemingly irreconcilable legacies of political and personal violence." Set in Northern England, the film follows a middle-aged man (Sean Bean) who "sets out from his suburban home on a journey into the woods, where he reconnects with his estranged hermit brother (Day-Lewis). Bonded by a mysterious, complicated past, the men share a fraught, if occasionally tender relationship—one that was forever altered by shattering events decades earlier."

Day fucking zero. DDL looks awesome already with that stache and the grey. And hell yes Sean Bean. Can we all start making bets on how many minutes in they'll kill him off?

I'll watch anything with DDL in it, poor Sean, must be nerve wracking to act alongside without a doubt the best actor alive or dead

I thought he retired.

The fact that he is a method actor makes me feel like he is bad at pretending.

So he unretired.for nepo son film? Pass

Valid comment. His son, Ronan Day-Lewis, is making his director debut with this film. There is no telling how good the film will be and part of me wonders if DDL is just doing his son a favour.

However, DDL did co write the script (I'm going to assume he did most of the writing), so there is hope that it won't just be a vanity project.

Oh good, I thought he was serious about retiring. He's in my top five favorite actors of all time. Glad to see him back even if it's only one more film.

One battle after another and this coming out a week after hot dam any legendary movies ever get released back to back ?? Not saying these movies are going to be legendary but that's going to be a good two weeks for movie going. only been to the movie theater twice this year for Superman and Jurassic park rebirth I think that was it

Legend has it that it's written into his contracts he must die.
Even in the martian since he had a boring office job they still had to kill his career by saying the character got fired.

He will probably make it to the end of killed in the final scene by an enraged Lewis.

I remember him finding out that his character from the Civ VI trailer died

Sean Bean...."Oh, it's good, it's great! Especially because it's so popular, it's like, quite unique really. It was such a big hit. But I think I've seen him. I think my head looks a bit square innit."

Watched Phantom Thread the other day, I was mesmerized the whole way through.

Remarkable movie and remarkable performance from DDL once again.
