In a 19th-century European village, Victor (Depp) travels to the underworld for a quickie wedding to a mysterious corpse bride (Bonham Carter) while his living wife (Watson) pines for his return.

The main director is Mike Johnson, who was an animator on Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, and also directed "The PJs". Burton's name started cropping up this summer as a co-director too. I'd be interested in knowing how or why that came about, and how much he actually did.

Anyway, it appears to be due out September 23rd, 2005.

Cool. I know next to nothing about this movie. Is it CG or stop-motion? I'd assume stop-motion, but the quality of those characters looks much better than any other stop-motion thing I've seen.

Stop-motion.

I'll wait to see it in motion before judging whether it's made significant strides over stop-motion films of a similar vein (ie. Nightmare and Giant Peach). They made a ton of major breakthroughs during Nightmare's production though, and this is a decade later, so I'm betting they've made at least some solid improvements.

I'd love to know how they move to the eyes like that. I'm glad there's another stop-motion flick coming out. I'm so sick of CG. TB+JD4EVER. <3
