I can't tell if that looks good or not, is that picture supposed to be grainy? Looks like he's wearing his goggles..

Man, what an awesome use for the second screen *sigh*

Looks SWEET!

GO UBISOFT, stick it to Nintendo with that 2 screen bullshit!

How dare Nintendo force developers to have some creativity with their games?

Those bastards.

i actually played the ngage version of splinter cell at work yesterday.

i didnt want to vomit....right away.

The scan looks pretty ugly.

What fansites will do for an exclusie these days, even if it hurts the games and the platforms they are supposed to be promoting. They're lucky it wasn't a scan from EGM. :lol

Hurting the games? I'm reading a lot of praise for the game in this thread just based on one grainy image.

Is this going to have multiplayer like the last two games, cause if so that would rule and be the only real reason to get it.

I am concerned about the lack of analog control, but it looks impressive.

I think it will be just fine if the N-Gage version is any indication.

The thing that bothers me is a lack of jaggies. I didn't think the DS was capable of AA.
Everything just looks so smooth. I'm guessing it's a fake. :(

Yeah, but I don't think N-Gage reviews can be trusted. I'm suspect the reviewers are so desperate for a game to review, that when one comes in a wave of ecstacy passes through them and they inevitably end the review with "Not the best thing since sliced bread, but bloody close. The N-Gage has it's next killer app."

Looks completely suss to me, anyone else notice how the gun icon on the GUI on the top screen is actually off the edge of the screen (going by the bottom screen)? No sir, this does not add up.

Looks good, but...wtf are they doing with the 2nd screen? :lol

And based on what Koshiro said...this might as well be fake.
Or maybe Ubisoft are pulling another Rayman DS, pasting screenshots together. :lol

The answer to why it has no jaggies and why the gun is cut off is simple, its a scan..

Regarding the second screen. In that shot the second screen is clearly being used for weapon selection, view selection (night vision ect) and camera view. But that doesn't mean that's all its used for. Apparently it will also be used for movement, various mini puzzles/games (lock picking ect) and aiming. While I don't actually like using the touch screen for movement in Mario 64 DS I think it will be great for Splinter Cell. Since its more about sneaking then running around.

It could very well be fake, but the fact that part of it "goes off the screen" isn't indicative of that. When you scan something, if part of the scanned object is "higher" than the other, then part of the object will be scanned completely, while another section (the section just ever-so-closer to the camera) will go off the screen.

We'd know for sure if they hadn't cut off the parts that surrounded the screenshot (if these are indeed real).

If it is supposed to be grainy (which I think it is) the graphics aren't bad at all. Too bad there aren't any clean screenshots...

I'm sure the second screen will be used for cool stuff like picking locks or sliding an optical camera wire under a door or whatever...

That does sound like a good idea. I sure hope they'll do something like that. It'll immediatel add a new dimension of relsm to the game.

Perhaps Sam Fisher will have a remote bot he can control, Bauer style
