More 360, PS2, and Xbox shots will be released tomorrow on the official site.
 
looks ok. It honestly just looks like the added over the top lighting to the xbox/ps2 version though. I'll have to go back and look at some pics though (which im sure someone will provide in 5...4...3...)
 
Too many of these Xbox 360 ports simply look like PS2 screenshots captured in higher res. for a magazine ad.
 
Those environments don't look too bad. Check out the texture work on those stone protrusions in the first pic.

Even so, if one owns an Xbox 360, these are the versions of these games to get.
 
WTF.

Some of these companies really should suffer for the low quality they pump out. But we all know crap like this and THUG will go on and sell their hundreds of thousands.

I suppose, but you have to pay a $10 premium in order to get 'em, which makes the console's own inflated price seem that much worse.

Lara's stomach muscles are kinda gross there... Ick.
 
Microsoft should refuse to OK the game unless they do a proper model of Lara that actually uses the 360's capabilities. This is just lazy of Eidos.
 
Bloom lighting boobs are next gen.

Anyway, that's a horrible model. Legs don't even come off a person like that.

Oh nice, didnt see that earlier, my eyes would only fixate on her protrusions.

Yes, as opposed to their earlier hard work on the Lara model.
 
needs better texture work.

lara croft needs more detail on her clothes and better muscle tone (she has her stomach out and there's no abs?)

parallax mapping would do wonders IMO.


we all know this was going to be an enhanced port... but im hoping crystal dynamics make it a good enhanced port.

i did plan on picking it up... if it were good

not many worthwhile adventure games being released.

Yeah...they need to fire whoever did this and the Galleon models and hire some Koreans or something post haste

Yea, that looks nasty. Reminds me of that picture with Tara Reid's weirdly uneven and lumpy abs. Anyway, overall unimpressive looking images. Xbox version isn't too far behind.

but seriously... i wouldnt mind if they took the DOA 4 approach to lara... making her more "mascot" or "cartoony" than going for realism.

it's the environments that need work and her clothes should hang off her right.

Developers are really going to abuse parallax mapping(or whatever crap they're using here) next gen, huh.
 
Looks okay for your average X360 game. I expect it to be a lot better once the developers rip into the source code to exploit the 360's true light bloom.
 
As mentioned in that GameIndustry article, companies still need to cash in on the PS2 for this final run. Expect any ports to get some fairly shabby treatment. But hey, you're not really buying a 360 for ports, are you? PEACE.
 
I wouldn't say it looks bad but it does look more like the xbox version running on a PC with a new texture detail level turned on and the lighting set to HDR or something. They really should throw a few more poly's on everything in the game though and then run it at 60FPS. I'd expect atleast a Kameo level of detail from this game. Delay the 360 version by 6 months if you have to just make it look next gen instead of HiRes PC.
 
I remember when the new dev team said they were going to try and make Laura look more realistic, a more plausible looking human being.

that doesnt even look like parallax mapping. parallax mapping doenst look flat. all those textures do.
 
ugh, it looks like MS should copy Sony's PSP idea and invoke some kinda of 30% more content rule for all current gen -> 360 ports.
 
I just find it funny/pathetic that this character appears incapable of ever having her limbs hang vertically. Her arms and legs are always spread.
