30 Minute Meals! 40 Dollars a Day! And now that new Celebrity cooking show. Badical!

I dont see how anyone could hate tyler, he's universally likeable.

The people I cant stand most of all are:

FAT SOUTHERN LADY! Worst ideas for her foods ever. "IS it better than sex Cake?!?!" which was followed by her saying sex until she was amused. or "STICK TO YOUR TEETH COOKIES" which sound disgusting, and the end result produced a cookie so brittle it wouldnt stick to your fuggin teeth lady!

Paula_Deen1_e.jpg

And I cant figure out why, but big head italian lady grates on my nerve.

I'm 100% with you on your Food TV hosts thoughts. One thing I would like to add is that one show with Tony the New York city French chef that travels the world and eats weird stuff show should be brought back.

I second that! That show was awesome. I loved when he went to asia and ate that Birds Nest or whatever haha. He was all layed out sick afterwards. He has cool.

I remember that one. And I love how that bastard eats the hottest thing on the menu and asks for seconds. I also like his willingness to try mystery meats.

I like License to Grill and that New Yorker who travels around the world for good cuisine (don't remember the name).

It's called A Cook's Tour and it was the most fantastic show on television. There has to be another season in the works, there just has to be! I love how, inevitably, he'd end up stone-wasted by the end of the night. Matching shots with that old man in Vietnam was the best!

Oh, and Good Eats is a very informative and entertaining show too. It's just that I could never put so much work/thought into what I'm cooking.

Tyler Florance (or TyFlo, as I like to call him) has a wicked good bloody mary recipe.

Food Network = Win.

That Italian woman also pisses me off. It's the fact that she's always smiling and pronouncing Italian foods with an accent. Ech.

uh, Iron Chef anyone? Sure its the same episodes over and over....but damn it if it isnt entertaining.
Indeed.

I wish they would play some more/older episodes. Iron Chef is one of the most brilliant shows of all time. To make cooking so arrestingly interesting and competitive...now that's some magic.

*thankfully avoids making lame "recipe for success" pun*

WHO DEY!?
I have mixed emotions on Alton Brown. There was an episode where he was talking about cheap steak, in this case flank or skirt steak. He cooked it directly on some coals in a grill, and it was WAY too much work no matter how you look at it. He also used a blade grinder on his coffee episode (A big no no for any coffee snob).

I would never actually attempt most of what Alton Brown makes, but damned if his show isn't one of the most entertaining programs on television.

Also, adjust the point tallies accordingly for the following people:

-1 Stupid Southern Lady (I hate what you cook and I hate your lousy accent)
-140,000 Emeril (NOTCHES BAM NOTCH GRILL)
-1,000,000 Bobby Flay (you defiled the sacred Kitchen Stadium with your stereotypical American arrogance and I will NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR IT)
-0 Rachael Ray (annoying, but quality shows. It's a draw)

And hey: is it just me, or do they not have Malto Mario on anymore (or at least at convenient times to watch)?

I want to climb into my TV whenever Rachel Ray is on it. Scratch that. I just want to climb into Rachel Ray. Repeatedly.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
I appreciate how Alton Brown breaks down everything scientifically, but anyone who would dedicate a full 30 minutes to macaroni and cheese just isn't a great cooking show person to me.

Great Chefs on PBS is still the greatest non-Iron Chef cooking show series.

WHO DEY!?
My friend and I have discussed this at length, but there is simply something sleazy about Bobby Flay. He seems like the guy who would pinch an intern's ass the second the cameras stopped rolling, and then disappear to the break room to do some lines.

Mario Batali strikes me as a drug user as well. I don't know why, he just does.

Good Eats and Iron Chef are two of my favorite shows on television. My girlfriend and I love Alton Brown, and he just happens to live down the road from me. ^_^

I really hate that Rivers guy, off the Top 5 show, you know like "Top 5 Candies" for example. That show's just so friggin' cornball, I hate it!

i was watching one time and this guy

was showing people how to make scrambled eggs. Who the fuck doesn't know how to make scrambled eggs?

can you enlighten me on the proper type of grinder to use for coffee beans?

He's telling us how to make them perfectly, or explaining the science, but yeah I agree that's pretty retarded. Good Eats is a cool show, but it puts me to sleep with all the information I don't care for.

Anyone ever watch Food Network while eating dinner? I always do, I sorta subconsciously pretend I'm eating what's on screen.

But that fucking Top 5 show is always on when it's dinnertime.

FUCK HIM

I think most coffee snobs prefer "coffee mills", which sorta grind the coffee to powder instead of chopping it with blades. I'm not a coffee drinker myself, though, so I can't speak from personal opinion.

Alton Brown owns.

Tony Bourdain's show is really neat and if you liked it, check his book "Kitchen Confidential".

I'd also check out the "Food Hunter" it's pretty neat as well.

Medium Low heat and you must constantly stir as it cooks. Remove the eggs before it's fully done allow it to finish cooking in the pan, they should be creamy.

So many people get this wrong.

you'd be surprised at how many people butcher scrambled eggs.

Oh I love Good Eats, Alton does more than show you how to cook something, he also shows you why things work or taste better with someone else. So you get a much better understanding of cooking and can thus apply that to many other dishes which is MUCH more beneficial than just reading a recipe.

Also no Unwrapped love? Horrible. And $40 a day is a worthless show, should have stayed at $20 a day since I want to see her walk into more casual fast food places. WORTHLESS I SAY.

Exactly. A lot of the stuff he makes either requires equipment I just don't have, or isn't quite something I like, but there have been lots of little tips that he's given that have come in pretty handy every so often.
