Luiz deal is nuts but everyone is forgetting player amortisation when it comes to FFP.

If the deal is £40m that will register as a £8m cost in their accounts for the coming year (assuming he signs a 5 year contract).

Frozen wages stipulation may be tougher to overcome but if they sell a couple of players than they'll be well within the sanctions. In theory at least.

Of course they will most likely still make big losses overall unless they sign more sponsors but that is a different issue.
