Sanogo is solid because of his pace and the way his runs drag defenders out of position.

With enough quality backing him up it's a decent option.

Boyata is really poor, literally League 1 level player. Nastasic continuing his horrible form, embarrassing that he let Ramsey chip the ball over him. No drive, no determination, just gliding around.

Nastasic fucked up heavily when Sanchez came through, how the fuck can he be so bad now.

This really does look like City a doing a Mancini second season again. They just don't look ready or even interested in the match. That being said, the very fact it is a Charity shield might explain that
Couple players aren't playing as well.

Don't think you can read too much into Alexis being a bit off on the pass.

He's only been training with the squad for just over a week.

I think he's looked quite bright, he would of got to that through ball if he didn't make a storming run a minute before.

Arsenal looking good, City still on holiday.

It's not that bad. City's (4th and 5th) CBs are horrible, Clichy a LB being RB and Yaya is being pre-season Yaya. City still lacking Zabaleta, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Demichelis, Fernandinho, Lampard, Silva, Aguero, Negredo.

We did that last season too and still finished in third. :(

I don't think teams like Stoke, West Ham and Palace will cause you as much of a problem this year now that you have Drogba and Costa up top. Your form against lower league opposition lost you it last season.

Matic holding and those two up front should get you more points from those teams.

______________

Sanchez looks good so far.

At least Silva's on the bench, he'll help out in 2nd half. Both Nastasic and Boyata should be out but there's only Rekik on the bench. Milner and Zuculini will probably get some time too.

Good performance so far. Really liking what I'm seeing from Sanogo, if he can stay fit and develop some sort of killer instinct for actually scoring goals, he will be very useful going forward.
