There are a few charities out there aimed at helping these kids, some getting them into coaching or other aspects of football - or one like this which aim at developing them further as footballers with hopes of them getting picked up by a side

I know the academies at larger clubs are trying to give the kids a more rounded education and psychological support to prepare them for life outside of football if they don't make it, but if you're a kid and football has been your whole life it's going to be a massive readjustment.
As I said at the end of the season. Change the sub rules so that you're allowed 2 free subs if the player coming on is say, under 18 and has maybe under 20 appearances. Still only allowed to take 7 to the game.
Do more to encourage teams to actually play youth.

Something like this is needed. The homegrown quota hasn't worked so far as minutes keep dropping despite the quota increasing.
