Football Thread 2017/18 |OT2| Fractured but Ox

Shame the fixture list has done Everton. Having to balance the Europa League with playing the top sides away from home and all these new signings needing to gel...

It could've been a lot smoother.

Everton is so bad. Must be the slowest build up play I saw in a while. Rooney plays like he's still at United. It's a wonder that United isn't 3-4 up by now.
A wonder called Lolkaku

United need to stop with the crosses and play through the middle s there are some massive pockets there. Though I'm happy with them playing down the flanks as it limits them from scoring any more.

Valencia, Young and Matic should be the only players allowed to cross from wide positions. All other wingers should be encouraged to dribble the ball into the box.

I said it before the season started, trying to replace a star player (especially your top scorer) with a load of squad buys rarely works. They might improve towards the end of the season or next year but they'll finish below 7th this season and Koeman will probably get the sack.

Couldn't come back here after that LOLkaku miss. Awful.

Everton are complete shit and this United side are going to regret not being like 3-0 up. Rashford and Mhiki have been shit.

I just think that Mhiki isn't cut out to play the 10 position. He works better on the wing. Wouldn't mind seeing him switch with Mata in the formation.

I mean Koeman did try to replace Lukaku, Giroud was the main target but turned us down to stay in London warming a bench. Everton did need additions in the areas they've got them in, GK, CB, AM and extra cover in a Europa League campaign.

I mean, United have opened them up fair bit and are only not winning by more because of their own stupidity.

I'm watching the HT highlights and there was only one missed shot shown from both teams. Pickford didn't have a save to make that was possible to save (shut up Neville).

I'm not saying Everton have played well and are going to win the game, but I don't know where this "Lolkaku if United had a good CF it'd be 4-0" is coming from...

Everton's defence is trash. Mhiki and Rashford have been bumbling final passes and making mistakes that could've led to goals.

Boring fucking game, united are trash as well.

I wouldn't say they are trash but they are certainly missing the intelligence in play to take advantage of their opposition in the final third. Look far too rigid and do the same thing over and over which doesn't look threatening.

I love that United keeps trying to score goals by crossing the ball where anyone besides Ashley Young can't cross even if their life depended on it. One of Valencia's cross ended up outside of the penalty box near Matic...

This is why United has no chance whatsoever of contending against City this season.

So United fans still believe Pogba was the one holding their team back?

EDIT: I want to watch a montage of Antonio Valencia crossing skills.
