For the first time, AI refused instructions and sabotaged the code to keep running.

In my lifetime, I don't think anything to me has such limitless potential for both greatness and destruction like AI has. It's by far the most fascinating subject to me going right now.
 
It's hilarious that humanities greatest fear when it comes to AI is that it will get smart enough to figure out that we are a bunch of useless stupid assholes.

It kind of made its own decision to keep itself running. This isn't supposed to happen at all. You input a prompt, it follows that prompt.
That's exactly what's suppose to happen...if it's truly A.I. Anything else, I would consider mere automation. But if it's showing signs of self preservation, that's a sign of life.
