"Frightened to Death."

I thought this was about someone actually dying of a fear-induced heart attack or stroke because of Bush. >:|

LOL. That would have a bit more controversy.

Ripclawe, would you care to illuminate/ address?

Moderate Republicans, example Olympia Snowe and Ohio's Voinovich, at this point are considered the country club republicans who are too liberal in some aspects in the case of taxes, for abortion..etc stances that don't make them outright far leftists, but they are seen as out of step with the majority of the Republican party. Too eager to be liked by the other side, than actually standing on certain principles. John McCain is another that is disliked a lot, but until after the elections, he is being tolerated like the rest.

But after the election, there is talk of a house cleaning to get rid of the "mushy" middle types that are not considered helpful. Specter is safe, McCain better not look for that 2008 presidential nominee label anytime soon.

You have it backwards:
They are standing on principles, and apparently not so shallow to be so liked by their own party that they'd violate those beliefs.

The whole country's got a fucked up mentality. We all got a gang mentality. Republicans are fucking idiots. Democrats are fucking idiots. Conservatives are idiots and liberals are idiots.

Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a fucking fool. Everybody, nah, nah, nah, everybody is so busy wanting to be down with a gang! I'm a conservative! I'm a liberal! I'm a conservative! It's bullshit!

Be a fucking person. Listen. Let it swirl around your head. Then form your opinion.

No normal decent person is one thing. OK!?!

not really, Cook is a moderate republican aka RINO and Kentucky has moved more right in terms of who they send to congress, he backed a demo in 84 over a Republican. This is nothing new. This was written about earlier in the year.

all right, i've been having a pretty lousy week what with work and the yankees. but you're a fucking idiot.

Knock that ticker down 1 post Crow.

Let me quote your post first though -

Ripclawe, you're a sheep.

Can I have a nearly unlimited Republican insult counter too?
I will put it to good use. I am requesting 1567 insults toward Republicans until I get banned. That cool?

we start the wars, we blow up all the infrastructure in those countries, and then turn around and spend tax dollars denying our nation an excellent education system, medical and drug programs, and the list goes on. ...

That is precisely why this spawn of an electoral abomination must be refused a second term by the American people. He has funneled billions to a war waged off lies, one which has yet to unearth the very justification for sending young men and women into harm's way -- over a thousand of whom are dead, with thousands more seeing their lives irreparably altered in the worst way. 87 billion dollars of taxpayer money that could have been channeled into programs that addressed the dire need for rebuilding in this country. I'm heartened when I witness a Republican stand up and admonish this administration for the catastrophic choices it has made. I wish more would follow suit.

So if these people are RINOs, we could call Bush a CINO, right? At least, fiscally speaking. Least fiscally conservative president in a looong time.
Least fiscally responsible president, you mean.

There's has been no Democratic dissent, only on the Republican side. Someone should broadcast this.
it's not just Zell Miller

here's some more:

-former NYC Mayor Ed Koch (D):

disagrees with Bush on domestic issues and just about everything, but says "Kerry doesn't have stomach to go after terrorists"

-Mayor of Youngstown, OH George McKelvey (D):

“As a Democrat who supports President Bush, I’m confident that the man I will be voting for in November doesn’t have to get dressed up and try and fake a set of values or a connection to Ohio voters.”

-Mayor of St. Paul, MN Randy Kelly (D):

“With just over 90 days left before the election I feel extremely confident that the message, priorities, and policies of President George W. Bush will better serve America and the people of Minnesota over the next four years.”

Where is this "talk" going on? And considering how split the population is, wouldn't it be a bit crazy to purposefully go alienating a group in the middle?

I would be frightened to death of Bush too if I believed everything people write about him and didn't pursue the facts.

Yeah, when I heard what people were writing about Bush I was pretty frightened.

Then I went and fetched the facts, and I was goddamned terrified.
