Something I wondered about the last time I watched the movie is who was running Bubba Gump while Forrest was running across the country for years and what role did he have in the company? When they first start out, it makes it seem like he and Lt. Dan are really close, but then when Forrest marries Jenny, it seems like they hadn't seen each other in years. Was Lt. Dan running the company the whole time Forrest was fucking around? Did Forrest not have anything to do with the company other than being the namesake and face of the company?
