I use Abload.de for avatars as it retains most of the original filename and for the multi-uploader. Imgur is fine for PNGs, but will re-compress JPEGs, something to keep in mind. Pomf.se is another free alternative that has become a bit of a GAF favorite for WebMs and large gifs but handles any type of file up to 50MB.
If you choose Imgur there's a very neat open source app called Image Uploader that can upload multiple images directly from Windows folders via a context menu. Super easy. I use it for all kinds of other uploads. It also formats all the links to the proper BBCode [img]...[/img], so it's ready for pasting into a post.

I bought this comic at Walmart when i was young. They couldn't find pricing. I assume some sad kid left it at the store and they took money anyway.

... Can someone put my avatar on a transparent background? I downloaded the file having the "checkered" transparency on the background, but then uploads white. I don't get it.
I guess more than someone doing my background for me, if they would explain why after uploading to NeoGAF, a white backgrounded is added in the first place when the background was already transparent?
