Found Revolution GPU feature

Why are the pictures not showing up? Fucking TIFF. Either it loads a peice of the image or no image at all. (not a browser issue, same in FF, IE and Opera)

Tried to install that. "The win16 Subsystem has insufficent resources to continue running". Typical windows crap, always assuming you are in a postion to reboot instead of fixing problems on its own.

btw, you have an extra 't' in the url. ;)

It actually might well be referring to REmake's technology. Nintendo may have just developed it for Capcom.

Remember that online patents are usually posted a really long time after they're actually submitted. If I recall, it's because they only post approved patents, not pending ones. And the pending process takes forever.

The site said they updated them once a week, on every Tuesday

Did REmake shift perspectives? I thought the camera stayed pretty static in it.

The pictures are giving me problems too, but it reads like... kind of like bumpmapping I guess, faking depth and perspective shifts with something prerendered without actually rendering it in real time to that detail. Maybe mixing together multiple bits of prerendered media to pull the effect off.

You know, it's not making much sense. It was filed way after REmake came out, and RE 4 was pretty much finalized by the point this patent was officially filed. It has to be for a future game or something, especially since it takes months for the filings to be approved after filed

this alternate tiff thing.. it won't let me view any images other than the first one. What do I have to do to get it to show others?

This can't be done on the GC, the console can't do "cube mapping", the only console on the market capable of the feature is the Xbox(atleast on the market). Cube mapping is used for the reflections you see in racing games like PGR2.
