Look, I'm saving you money, and trying to help pay for a $300 a year website wherein half the content is of a videogame related matter. Believe me, I take a big loss on the website, I don't even come close to breaking even, let alone getting a profit.

So the website costs $300 a year, and you take a big loss? That's really cool you're doing a free website and all, but $300 is a killer deal for an entire year. My site costs more than half that each month, not counting promotions and things. And my amazon referral thing makes about $15 a quarter.

Any season of 24 is a steal for $15, and season 1 is probably the best of the three. Awesome show.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising considering how many people jumped on the deals, but the order status had finally changed to being prepared for shipment, although I also got a delay e-mail today. I wonder if that means that it was delayed until today, or that even though the status has changed, it's going to be delayed some more.

I got the same thing. My order still hasn't shipped. Did you pick the free shipping like I did? That still wouldn't explain why the things haven't even left their warehouse, though.

Okay, as I've said, I don't know goodcow that well, so I'm not aware of past infractions (I've only been on the GAF for a little over a year now). And it's true, spam is spam. It's pointless for me to argue that point.

But my original point is this: I for one participated in the offer, and without the knowledge that it was benefiting him and his site. But if I did, I can't say I'd be that angry... it's not like I got hurt in the end. I personally saved like $50+ dollars. So to know that others did but still want to throw stones at him (yet have the "screw you for blah, blah, but thanks for saving me money, hehehehe!" attitude) is just something that bothers me.

With that said, I think I'll go back to watching the 700 hours (give or take) of DVDs I now have.

I've always wondered why some shows, like Millennium comes on six or discs, and others like X-Files which comes in much more (or at least I'm assuming that's the case, with the higher price tag and all).

The only reason I can think of is that the X-Files episodes have a better transfer, but then again, considering the quality of the show, at least early on, it didn't exactly have the most high end cameras. Though the grittiness actually of the poor video stock actually looks better than the glossy, overly-done look of later seasons.

Bottom line, the X-Files DVDs cost too damn much!

Amazon are sending me a replacement, and being the nice folk that they are, have told me not to bother sending the faulty one back to them as it would be fairly costly.
