FPS lesson #1. "Never stand still"

Sidenote: People in FFXI used to always complain that I was running back and forth. Since I played on the PC, I had my normal FPS configuration and used 1st person, and outta habit i'm always hitting the strafe buttons back and forth. Too bad FFXI didn't have strafe animations. NEVER STAND STILL. Learn from idiot in that picture.

To take the picture I had to, since the stupid key bound to screenshot is on the num pad. Though usually I'm strafing a tiny amount when zoomed.

If you had any real skill you would have taken that little energy blade and stuck it right up in his damned face. However, like the unskilled nooblet you are, pick people off with an uber rifle from some hidden spot 100's of yards away. In online FPS's, snipers think they are leet shit when infact they suck ass, the real men are those who bust out the default shank and go fistacuffs.

Playing Halo online really taught me how to play right. So many people in the sniping position, not moving, not paying attention to their radar (usually you can stand right next to them and they won't know), and are WAY out in the open.

I agree about sniping, but snipers are a necessary part of any balanced breakfast... team. Without snipers, who will give cover to you crazy Rambo types, Aero? All players are essential in FPSs, included the dreaded snipers.

You only need snipers to cover the rambo types from other noob snipers. :P If everyone goes rambo style then there is no need for cover fire.

If everyone goes Rambo-style, where does team tactics come into play? Everybody rushing in with guns ablaze is not team tactics. Now, I agree with you that too many kids play snipers, but snipers should still be implemented.
