Got some mp3s that I want to turn into ringtones, so I want to chop off bits with vocals and make it shorter.

Just something simple and free (30 day trial will be enough)

You can probably do it all with Sound Recorder, if you really want.

Use your media player to play the file, and have sound recorder record it while playing.

Then take that recorded file, and trim it down.

You'll need something to encode it, so get Lame.
