I found this last year and have gone through every episode. I had some very odd dreams falling asleep to it at first...Honestly the best thing I've found on YouTube.

I have always been a fan of trash like ancient aliens (guilty pleasure) but I much prefer AJ's style of talking through the conspiracy and then debunking it in the final segment. Still fun but not too looney.

The latest video on asteroid impacts was the first time I think AI video has actually been a benefit. Whilst I am now a hecklefish fan, the new stripped episodes give people a chance to get into the channel before having to get over the fish.

Do we have any fans here? Any recommendations for similar well produced channels on similar topics?

I've been watching him for over a year, not sure how long exactly. Probably my favourite YouTuber after MrBallen. If you like cryptid stuff I'd check out What Lurks Beneath.

I'm a big fan of the channel, I like how he spins a good yarn but will usually pull you back to reality at the end of each episode and will tell how how the whole thing falls apart (why it's not true, usually).

he's done some good stuff regarding ancient Egypt and lost civilisations.

There have been many discoveries recently that validate a lot of what Graham Hancock has been putting his life's work into researching recently. Many times throughout history major mysteries around repeating megalithic stone structures that share familiar, almost signature construction methods yet are separated in some cases by thousands of years, let alone miles.

There is some weight to the theories imo. Plato was told by an Egyptian elder priest that the world has been 'reset' countless times, through floods, asteroids, natural disasters. Many things lost to time and oceans. Sure there are a lot of bullshit out there, but it's a fascinating rabbit hole to explore.

I really enjoyed their content more early on, around 2022 to mid 24. The topics were more interesting. I feel like they've been scraping the barrel a bit, and I find their use of AI b-roll to be pretty shitty (though it has gotten better).

Still, a solid channel.

For a similar vibe, I'd recommend people check out Mystery Files from Watcher. It's also pretty solid. https://youtube.com/@watcher?si=S7GzEymmPEjenNWr

Great channel, the one about the moon landing conspiracy is great. I never doubted the moon landing, however in the first half of his video I actually started to doubt it for the first time🤣, until he said " but is it all true" and started to debunk it, I was so relieved.

Yeah, the moon landings and the landing on Mars (project red sun?) We're my favourites. The Mars one was masterful both in the story and the effort he went into debunking the photos and videos. It must have taken ages to find some of those originals and remaking the fake pics.

It's a fun channel, he seems to get a lot of his topics from a really old web site called 'Damn Interesting'. At least I read many of these topics off that old site years ago.
Why files keeps the interesting form of story telling with the mysteries, rather than just listing off stuff. It makes for a fun watch.
And I need a hecklefish plushie.

If anyone is interested in his channel I recommend starting with The Black Knight Satellite.

Yes, I'm subscribed to him and many of the channels mentioned here. I like to entertain an alternate reality of these stories being true, but 99% of them I don't believe. The Why Files does a good job at debunking them at the end to stop the tinfoilers from rubbing one out of their hat.

I think this channel is underrated if you like the occult. She goes for length/quality over quantity, which unfortunately I think hurts her channel.
