Just found an unused Steam Key for Super Meat Boy, Lone Survivor, and Braid from Humble Bundle V. I can't find a way to use it on Steam Gifts so first PM can have it.

That is no freaking excuse. It takes all of ten seconds to post a thank you, before or after you redeem the code. Many people actually post thanks before, and then post that it was already taken. Again, anyone who grabs a code and says nothing deserves a kick in the nuts or anatomical equivalent. >_>

I would really recommend sharers do either the "first to quote" or "PM me" thing, probably the first to avoid inbox spam. That way the code goes to someone who actually bothered doing something to get it, no matter how trivial.

Pardon my tone, but it really pisses me off that someone would take something given for free and not even say thanks, even if it's never happened to me. >:(
 
Gotta love when freeloaders call out other freeloaders and the only viable solution is apparently to add more steps for the one actually giving the gift. I think a passing thanks is good etiquette too, but it is what it is.

Same goes for posts saying 'I always miss these, shucks I really wanted it'. What's the point of those posts? Ha—vain hope a kind soul will buy it for them?
 
Got a $8 off $88 and a $15 off $150 coupon for Play-Asia. They're the holiday ones so they have to be used before the end of the year.

I'll give it to the first two people who quote me since I'm not wanting inbox spam in case a lot of people tried PMing me.

I've not got one single thing out of this thread, and rather have given out a couple of codes (just a couple of GW2 weekend beta codes, but both were via the "PM me" method). Still, nobody is calling out "freeloaders" (which is the entire point of this thread), but ungrateful freeloaders. There is a world of difference between both. It's not even just expressing gratitude (which I would believe is the bare minimum of human decency!), but simply to let others know the code is taken and not to bother entering it.

And yes, I will recommend (and exercise) a simple verbal exchange, if it gets these people out of this thread (or at least, away from the codes). That's how much I despise them. Evidently everyone is entitled to do with their codes as they please, including posting them without email tags if they want.

i finally get to give back to the GAF community!

i have several gift cards from Sideshow Collectibles that were obtained at SDCC 2012 this year. 2 $35 cards and 6 4 $20 cards.

the cards will expire at the end of this month (12/31/12) and you cannot combine cards on the same purchase.

there is also a specific list of items that are eligible for use with a gift card.

Dude, I once made an account on some forum just to thank someone who had posted a Just Cause 2 key, which I took. Not saying thanks when you already have a forum account is inexcusable, and shows your complete lack of decency.
