Bastards I ordered a new Phillips DVD player and the scum dropped it off at my house yesterday on time... but the f*ckers didn't even knock on the door... they left it on the goddamn porch... not a big deal right? It was f*ckin RAINING all evening yesterday. I come out on the way to work this morning... oh wow look a drenched DVD box... WTF that's my DVD player?!?!?!? Hopefully the cardboard of the box and the damn foam inside soaked up all the water, I'll try and hook it up this evening... bastards.... Yeah Marty I got the DVD player you recommended.

Well, FedEx is just stupid. Two weeks ago they came to my house three days in a row trying to pick a package up - I wasn't mailing anything. Yesterday the FedEx guy comes to the house while we're gone (we have a security camera...long story) and doesn't do anything. He walks up to the door, knocks, leaves. Doesn't leave a note or anything, just...goes.

During the TRU 2for1 deal last year I had UPS leave a pac kage with 3 games in it on the front step at about 3:00 in the afternoon (that's what the ir records show) on FREAKIN halloween. Needless to say I we never saw those games.

How difficult was it to file a claim?

It's cool that UPS leaves packages sometimes, because I hate having to reschedule or pick up with carriers who don't.

Btw, UPS left two packages for me that were actually intended for a nearby electronics store. In the rain too! They were halfway soaked on my porch. I called and had them come out to pick them up.

My UPS guy wraps my packages in plastic even when its only cloudy. Maybe your delivery guy sucks.

See that's the thing our mailman does that. He's great about that I don't mind that the UPS guy just left the stuff I mind that he did it in the damn rain... IN the rain it was raining when he dropped the f'n box off!

my UPS guy doesnt ring the doorbell. he knocks on the door.

you cant hear a knock on the door from our apartment since we are on the second floor, and the door is obviously on the first.

i NEVER get any packages from him.. i always have to go pick them up from their warehouse.

its a pain.

Not to get off the subject of UPS, but I've got a beef with DHL.

My DHL guy doesn't even freaking KNOCK. I got that barracuda hard drive from the deal a week or so ago, and it arrived two days later.

I was sitting in the front room when it came. Next to the big window where I can look outside. There was no knock or anything, and I'm two feet from the door. I just happened to see the yellow van outside, so I got up to go meet the guy at the door. He was already getting in his car.

WTF guy, I mean really. Is knocking that hard?

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
The lifeblood of a UPS/DHL/whatever driver is their schedule. They've got a hectic one and they've got to go through it as quick as they can, so unless it's specificially specified that a package HAS to have a signature, they're going to be prone to just drop it off and run or (usually in my case) knock like all of once, drop it by the door, and screech away. I don't really mind as we live in a pretty crime-free neighborhood and both of the obvious places for them to leave packages are covered from the elements. Beats having to reschedule the shit...

My UPS guy will also just pop the package onto my porch without knocking, and then be on his way. Since I'm usually not home during the day, I don't mind. My house is somewhat secluded in a pretty safe neighborhood, it's a large porch where stuff stays dry, and I'm just happy to get the package on time.

My UPS guy tends to knock loudly and he'll leave the package on my porch. That's fine with me since my neighborhood doesn't have any trouble with crime. The one time that pissed me off was when the guy (I don't remember if it was the UPS or Fed-Ex guy) left my package with one of my neighbors. My stupid neighbor kept the damn thing for over a week before she remembered to give it to me.
