Full match of Halo 5 mp

They aren't like the Chief, though. The IIs and IIIs were recruited as children, the IVs were marines first. Hell, I'd argue that they shouldn't be like the Chief, since that would cheapen his experiences.
Exactly! These are not the same kind of Spartans as chief. If anything they should be a bit more talkative and cocky than chief just for the sake of contrast. Spartan IVs are probably proud to be where they are.

Also I just like it. I think it's kind of funny. Get the stick out of your ass, GAF, and laugh a little.

Stop using H4's population drop for proof. it's stupid and lazy.

H4 sucked because the changes weren't implemented correctly not because change is bad.

so when people abandon H5 after two months, can we use H4 and H5 as proof or is it still going to be "CMON GUISE GIVE 343 A CHANCE! THEY JUST DIDNT IMPLEMENT IT RIGHT"

The convergence that FPS genre is currently on is sad to me. Does the gameplay look good? Yea Does it excite me? No I really liked how different and unique Halo gameplay is and its a bummer that 343i is deciding to move away from it. If I want to boost or ground pound, I will just play Destiny. Nothing in the video really sold me on the game or what it is doing different from FPS that I already own.

The video just bummed me out.

Or Advanced Warfare. Halo Warfare, even down to the booster moves you can do.

I think this looks pretty fun. It's not the Halo I remember but I'm beginning to get over it, I just want to try this and see if it's any good for myself.

Wait, I don't get this. It's not like Spartan-IVs cheapen the legendary nature of previous generations of spartans. Why do these spartans need to sound like Master Chief when they're their own big military branch of adult volunteers now?

edit: I never played Spartan Ops besides one or two missions and so maybe I'm missing something

Spartans are kind of like the modern day Navy SEAL. They're the most elite of the elite. This is evident in all the source material for Halo 4. Regardless of being adult inductees to the program, they're all excellent soldiers.

With SEALs, even though they're not child soldiers, we still indoctrinate them to a large degree using some rather torturous training methods.

Why would the UNSC not do the same with the Spartan IVs?

I just can't see Navy SEALs or Spartans high-fiving each other, even during training, for a "cool headshot...bro"

Edited because autocorrect is dumb.

Well compared to destiny Id imagine a much more balanced competitive experience with less random one shot deaths and people properly trying to control sections of the map. Oh, and an actual ranking system

Mostly because the Spartan IV program is being run by a II who failed the augmentation process, who probably has... strong... opinions about that sort of training.

I'm still amazed people don't factor in BLOPS2 releasing a week later as a factor as to why the population dropped.

Holy shit, people are reading way too much into this.

I'm as big of a halo fan as the next person but can we all just wait until we play the damn game before we "lol halo duty warfare" "rip halo" bullshit.

I know it won't happen but a man can try.

I hope that Master Chief pulls a

And massacres all IV's.

Based off Halo 4, I would not necessary bet on a balanced competitive experience

I think it looks really good, but whatever. A lot of flash, a lot of "it feels like Halo!", and a lot of lip service, which is pretty much what Halo 4 was like leading up to launch. We'll know when we play it.

I think that's part of the point. They seem to be reaching for the CoD crowd, but it's not a stretch to say that the CoD crowd will drop H5 just as fast as they dropped H4.

Looks pretty decent to me. Im sure they will tweak a lot of thing after the Beta based on feedback, so I wouldn't worry about the voice chatter and weapon call outs.

But to be honest, playing H2aniversary, feels slow as shit. Im too spoiled by the freedom of movement in modern shooters. I actually look forward to the beta to try it out.

What, no shitty causalized social. The only difference between social and ranked should be the ranking system! That is, social lists should be just like ranked in terms of gameplay, toned down or not.
Same game everywhere.
This was especially terrible change in Reach with the title update, every list played differently.

What you're not getting is that the majority of people want the newer gameplay. The guys who want the hardcore, slow-paced Halo are a minority. That's just the reality of the situation.

Didn't Reach have a very active community? That had a lot of the same garbage as 4, so that does lead one to believe 343 botched the job...

I like they are trying new stuff for the franchise. I mean if you want to play some orginal Halo there is MCC just for that. I can underatand some other minor critisism though.

For AAA gaming? Nothing.

Unlike something like, say, Destiny, it seems as though 343 is actually using the beta for feedback on the core mechanics as opposed to utilizing it simply for testing their servers and marketing reasons. It also helps that this beta is roughly a year before the assumed release as opposed to about 2 months.

I tend to think of it being a combination of the Reach+4 combo (the one-two punch, if you will) and the studio transition. People were a lot less willing to forgive 343's faults than they were Bungie's.

Glad you know how to tell the future, did treyarch get rid of the Exo suits? Oh wait, you wouldn't know because it is impossible to tell the future.

You have no clue what garbage is if you call halo 4 or reach garbage. Go play Haze or Homefront to see what garbage is. Ffs

While "garbage" is hyperbolic, I do agree that most of the negative changes we saw in 4 began with Reach.

Although I'd kill for another Invasion mode.

Sprinting is ok. ADS is terrible because, regardless of it being optional, I just see people having an over-reliance on it... I just know it'll improve accuracy of weapons over hip firing. TTK is really damn quick for certain weapons no doubt, and what is the point of the hitmarkers when the shield damage indicates that already? Do people really need help figuring out whether they're hitting someone or not?!

The spartan chatter wouldn't be so bad, but it is because all I hear is annoyingly frequent emotionless yells. Everything I've seen about this is definitely Halo... in name only. So yeah, R.I.P Classic Halo :P

It looks fun, and I'm way more open to these vast changes to Halo since I have MCC now. Well, once they get it working. ;p

ADS does seem to reduce spread for automatics, but it seems to be mechanically identical for marksman weapons. TTK is quick, but not any more so than CE, which actually had a really great balance-short enough for combat to feel fast, long enough to give the attackee a chance to fight back. Hitmarkers, whatever.

I dunno man, it looks like Halo to me.

I know full well what garbage is. Reach and 4 were garbage.

Those games you listed were also garbage, but they weren't entries in a series that was renowned for its superbly tuned gameplay mechanics.
