Full match of Halo 5 mp

dont like callouts, why would i want my character to give away position by talking

shield sounds are annoying but prolly WIP

announcer sounds sarcastic, way more than usual anyway

dudebro stuff at the end is dumb

not really sure 'arenas' are what halo is about, I remember varied realistic-ish maps and vehicles

doesnt look like any halo ive ever played but I skipped 4 so yeah

At this point they really should just take "Halo" out of the title. Ship a Halo game with all that BS and it will tank harder than Halo 4 did on the Live charts.

Keep chasing that COD user base and everyone at 343 will be out of a job.

Well they are doing a bad job of chasing the "COD base", since the game looks to play nothing like COD. Step up yo game 343!

Commentators (people that have played the game) have already said that ADS accuracy is better than hipfire.

has always been like this in Halo.

DMR and Needle Rifle were more accurate scoped than unscoped in Reach
BR's spread was tighter when zoomed (CE pistol might be as well)
Carbine may have also been more accurate when scoped
ODST SMG has less spread when scoped
Lightrifle was more accurate too, but that's a bit different.

I'd often scope during my last shot and win battles I would have otherwise lost or tied.

has always been like this in Halo. wrong

BR's spread was tighter when zoomed (CE pistol might be as well)wrong, double wrong
Carbine may have also been more accurate when scoped and wrong again
ODST SMG has less spread when scoped
Lightrifle was more accurate too, but that's a bit different.

It was only a thing in Reach onwards and is one of the many reasons it and halo 4 were bad.

The TTK and accuracy of the SMG is just too good. If automatic weapons in H5 are going to be that good while mobility is high and many maps small then there's way less incentive to use the BR or DMR.

For me, the core of Halo gameplay has always been learning how to reliably headshot with the pistol/BR/DMR and the sniper rifle for fast TTK. If automatics are so good they become the meta, that's when it's no longer Halo to me.

*some* mentioned, to different degrees of certainty, that it appeared to improve accuracy with automatics, none (that i'm aware of) said the same of the BR/DMR.

i cant see a difference in videos. smg seems just as dominant at close to mid range with or without, and almost pointless at range.

343i has said there is no penalty to hip fire in both the vidoc and holmes tweet. more accuracy when smart scoped would mean a penalty when not scoped/hip firing. i'll take their word over a few limited impressions, at least until there is confirmation via 343 or actual hands on to test such things.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the reticle in the middle of the screen now?

FINALLY

So, some people don't like sprint partly because it entices folks to flee a firefight, right?

It's been a long time since I've played Reach, and while I've played Halo 4 periodically, it's kind of few 'n far between... That said, does being shot while sprinting slow you down? If not, would being able to slow it down, even to a complete halt by taking fire help much in this regard?

They have tried to balance it now by restricting your shield from recharging while you’re sprinting. So you can’t easily run away from battles.

It sounds like a novel idea on paper, but we’ll have to see how in works in practice.

I was playing some Crucible last night and couldn't help but wish I had the Strafe Thrust for moving around. I absolutely love the way that looks in the footage

That's for the automatic weapons though, right? That makes sense.

Precision weapons with scopes are still just as accurate as they were before when fired from "the hip"(though that's not technically what's actually happening, but whatever).

Yeah, just wondering if another deterrent like that would help keep it as nothing more than a quick means from point A to B. Though, I could still see some ways it could be used to escape firefights, if used in tandem with the the thruster pack.

At least it would take some degree of skill, right? :p

What's with all of the high-pitched beeps ?

Sounds like the chirp from Killzone.

Everything about the design of this looks like Halo : Arcade.

It looks more and more like CoD every iteration now. Although you could say that about almost any FPS multiplayer these days. Just goes to show how much of an impact and influence COD has had when even Halo is going for the same gameplay style.

Not that it's particularly a bad thing(i like CoD), I just want a bit of diversity in my gameplay.

so scoping didn't affect the spread of the BR burst at all? oh well, it seemed like it did from my experience but it may have been my imagination. got used to scoping for the accurate killing shot in Halo 3.

that isn't the main problem with ADS in Halo anyway

Judge away

- Too damn fast.
-Shield regenerates real fast.
- Spartan chatter might be useful if you play alone and no one is using the mic.
- I don't like how the announcer saying when power weapons gonna drop. Everyone will be camping that spot trying to get it.
-ADS+Sprint

I don't know how i feel about this ...

SMG is RIDICOLOUS!!!

I'm not sure people realize this, but the TTK is low specifically in this game mode, and you can't spawn more than once.

It's a stupid idea.

1. Add a feature into the game
2. penalize people for using it because "balance"

if this is how you need to balance out sprint, guess what? It doesn't belong in the game.

It's probably like Call of Duty where the enemy team can't hear your callouts.

I've played since the first Halo, I'm stoked for this one, something fresh. If I want to go back to the core Halo experience, as I remember it, there is MCC.

Also, this ADS stuff that people are so pissed about reminded me about how livid people some people were about dual wielding before Halo 2 came out.
