Fun ideas for games using the revmote vol. 2

sprsk

force push the doodoo rock
Okay so weve established, fps games, zelda sword fighting whatever all that stuff should be neat with the revmote, so what else would be fun?

I think a sumo game would be fun, using 3 remotes as hands to slap and throw fat guys.

A summer olympics game: All sorts of fun uses here. Hammer throw\discuss, fencing, shooting rythmic gymnastics maybe? who knows.

Starfox with the controller!

Which would also work well with flying portions in Mario 128.

golf, baseball, tennis, cricket, that funny ball game with scoops they play in spain.

Downhill mountain biking, holding the revmote like handlebars.

harmonica rythm action game?

a ridiculously graphic porno done in the style of Phoenix Wright, choose your own adventure style.

I'll leave the rest up to your imagination....

........no I won't the controller could be your penis and you could push the big A button to ejaculate wildely. If you haven't built up enough steam then you shoot a weak load and then peach says "oh no" or something else cute like.

Actually all those space shooting sims like xwing and what not would be really fun i bet.

and hell yes 2nd that ping pong statement.

I like the idea of turning the revmode onto all kinds of things to create genre/game specific controllers.

Take a spare steering wheel and glue the revmote to it's center => Rev steering wheel.
Taks a tennis racket and duct-tape the revmode to where you hold it => Instant tennis controller.
Duct tape it to an old flightstick => Instant flight joystick.
Duct tape it to the end of a golfclub => Instand Gold controller.
Duct tape it to an samda de amigo controller => Instant samba controller.
Duct tape it to your uncle's old hunting rifle => Instant lightgun rifle.

Obviously this isn't really practically but it goes to show that specialized controllers for the rev can be simple pieces of plastic.

People keep saying that it is gimmicky while in truth it is far away from being that. It is the most general controller ever.

- a construction game, where you can design structures (bridges, skyscrapers, office buildings, museums, etc) and then actually build them yourself, using the remote to simulate various vehicles. Multiplayer construction projects could be available (local or through wi-fi) and would be similar to that really cool lego construction game online. Imagine getting 10 players together to build a skyscraper, manning cranes and bulldozers and pouring cement, all with realistic physics. After you're finished with the project, you get points on stability, architectural quality, and cost efficiency. And then you can slowly build up a mini-city with all your designs.

A sculpting/carving game. You would use the revmote to shape/chisel/carve clay/marble/wood into statues or other forms of sculpted art.
Which you would then bring to life and do battle with in gladiator-styled arenas. Just kidding. But maybe not kidding.

any art game, really. Since you're moving in 3D space, you could choose any tool or brush from a palette/menu and create art with it.

Well, you could make a game where you wave the controller in the air while holding the A button in to make soap bubbles, then with the button released, you wave at each individual bubble to shoot them at enemies.

i would like to see a painting game...i watercolor paint in my free time, not good at it but it's fun and relaxing
make a real paint game...not kiddie paint, and then have a printer connect to USB port so we can print our work :)

I would love a space shoot´em up where you take the controller the same way as it was a toy.

I mean, maybe some of you when you were child has taken a toy plane with the hand to start moving and making noises "brrrr, tatatta, bruur" and so. I could foresee taking the controller in the same way and moving it that way to control the movement of the ship in the screen.

Instant jobs for the game creators at Newgrounds.

That's an awesome idea.

A sweeping game.
A dusting game.
A writing game.
A painting game (already menioned) but online... Maybe a new Mario Paint? It could be like isketch with a bigger screen.
A fly swatting game.
A game where you hammer nails.

I don't have much of a good imagination. :lol

It will be cool for online knifing people. :)

We need a good 3D beatemup. This is how it works.

You hold a rev controller in each hand, you see your hands on screen and the game follows your movemnets to the same degree that you execute them in real life. You use a dpad or 2 to control your movement and view.

You then proced to punch the crap out of various bad guys, the speed and power of your punches varies depending on how fast you punch in real life and how far back you pull your fists before you punch. You also postion your hands by various body parts and press buttons to grab, once you have grabbed you can move your hands to break limbs, choke, throw bodies, headbut(but just don't hit yourself in the head with the rev remote).

It would be very violent, i don't know if Nintendo would want such a game.

I think this will be the future of wrestling games, and a great workout to play.

tennis, music (DRUMS), bowling, cooking, drawing, ninja game with grappling hook etc., boxing.. ahhh yes, please give me a gardening simulation - watering flowers, cutting the hedge... oh yeah!! -.-

LTTP, but remember that Jet Lee PS2 game where you used both analog sticks to direct your attacks, well, a rev game like that, that used two remotes, and in first person. Yeah, it would make you tired as hell after one level, but it would be a blast.

I like the painting game. Especially 2 player head to head action with a timer. Like a the players will need to paint a statue in 30 minutes against another player. Best replica wins.

Iron Chef competition :)

That would work great for a boxing game (EA Fight Night), where movement isn't too terribly important, but the movement of your hands is what it's all about.

One of the things I thought would be really cool is to have two controllers, one for a flashlight and one for a gun. It would play like a tactical shooter, where you can't see anything until you turn on (raise) your flashlight because the surrounding area is dark. If you turn on your light, other people can see you and can shoot at you freely because of it.

I guess you could do that without two controllers, but it would be awesome with the precision of the thing, you know.

This is seriously the coolest Rev idea I have heard yet.

I can imagine pushing one remote along the carpet to make a bulldozer push dirt, then tilting it so the dirt would dump into a dump truck, which could be another remote.

Or dangling a remote horizontally between your thumb and forefinger in order to carefully set a beam in place with a crane.

Genious.

Magic Wand game (eg. Mahou Shoujo game) - wave in a certain pattern to get a spell off. Movement done with the other hand (using another controller or an extension). For extra cheese - use microphone attachment that requires you to say a magical incantation while waving the wand - "Pirika Pirilala"

Not movement-based, but I would like to see a small version of XBOX's Tekki/Steel Batallion controller - something with small levers and buttons. To be used in some kind of 3rd person action game with super deformed mechas. Extra cheese if the actual controller makes operational sounds rather than the game itself. *click* *whirrrr* *beep beep*

I like the sculpting and construction suggestions.
