Anyway when she was fifteen she was watching the news with her mum one night and the newsreader starts on about someone being held up at knifepoint.

so she goes " Mum, why do peope keep going to those places?"

Mum "What places?"

Her "Knife point and gun point, people are always getting held up there"

Mum " guffaw, laugh, giggle, cry for 10 minutes, then, they're not places dear, people are being held up by people with knives and guns"

Her excuse, there is a place called Gunn Poiny not far from here. :D

This joke was mentioned on the hit sitcom Friends once..
Hit sitcom, you say? Tell me more, it sounds intriguing...

Yeah, i also wondered why people went to "Gunpoint" if they kept getting killed there when i was a kid. Then, years later, Friends.

i was thinking this thread would be more sexually-related. Disappointment struck.

Edit: The original post reminds me of a girl i worked with (and ended up dating). She said the word "Grand Prix" in reference to a game she was talking about, only she pronounced it using English phonetics... as "grand pricks". She was serious.
