Japanese GBA-covers look so cool - but Ubi must be fuckin kidding us with this one! It's one of the worst covers I've ever seen.

Is this out in Europe yet?
I hate Ubi's GBA offerings. They always get released with about zero attention and you can't find them anywhere. And people wonder why I'm importing most of my GBA games...

AGH is the best beat 'em up this generation. Easily.
Advance Guardian Heroes iz easily the WORST beat 'em up this generation (actually, that might be stretching it. Charles Angels or Aqua Man gets that award). The horrid translation iz very distracting...

FYI the best beat em' up this generation iz Viewtiful Joe.

It's not just the story. I couldn't even understand how to perform all the razzmatazz in the game cause of their stinky translation in the tutorial.

Try easy mode ;)
No, don't! Learning to counter will bring you much joy.

Hit the R button right before attacks hit you to counter. Hold R to raise a shield, and hit R + B together to use magic. It's not rocket science. :D It should all be in the command list, too.

Oh, and yeah, covers don't get much more cheap or unimaginative than that. I applaud Ubi for bringing the game, but they did just about the worst localization possible.

I don't see what's so horrible about the US/Euro boxart. It's not like the Japanese boxart is particularly inspired either. At least the difference is nothing like that between the JPN and US box art for Guardian Heroes on Saturn. Now that was a travesty.

You think that's bad....

UbiSoft >>>>>>>>>>> Sega

By the power of Greyskull!! I think that boxart is right up the with the SNES cover for the original Street Fighter 2, El Viento on the Genesis, Megaman for the NES, and Plalanx for the SNES. I normally don't give a crap about coverart..but these have to be the top 5 in gaming history. And the Saturn import cover was so awesome!!

Is this a game strategy? I have seen it at my local walmart and I'm wondering if it's any good. Impressions anywhere?
It's a great 2D, arcade-style beat-em-up that's mostly based around a countering mechanic. Hitting the R button right before an attack hits you will deflect the attack. If it's a projectile it'll be knocked back at the enemy, and if it's a melee attack the enemy will be stunned. It's got some of the most impressive sprite-manipulation and scaling on the GBA. It has huge bosses, lots of enemies, and great, deep action, and I definitely recommend it.

What's wrong with that cover? It's 1000 times better than that awful American Saturn cover. It just looks like the main characters drawn in a super-deformed style over the logo. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either.

A game cover is more than just the pretty picture.

And this one looks to be designed by a blind three year old. One of the worst I've seen in a long time. How do these people get jobs, when I'm unemployed? :(

The logo ruins everything - and the JAP version doesn't look too good either tho it's a lot better!

The logo is too big and could do with not being quite so grey, but other than that there's nothing really wrong with this cover. It's just boring, that's all.
