Gah, only VU could take a good series and crush it. Tribes was and is fucking awesome.

edit: ok, not only VU...Sega ruined Sonic, etc. But Tribes...man. Ubisoft needs to own this franchise or something.

Dunno, I picked up Tribes 2 a few years back, ended up using that as a coaster for my pop.

Game can't even crack the top 40 on Gamespy server stats (Requires roughly 200 players). Wasn't a fan of what I played, and it seems nobody else was either. Sucks for those who play, but I can see why VU said "what's the point?" Why waste money if nobody's playing.

Tribes 2 was also a steaming fucking pile. Tribes 1 is the benchmark for CTF and V was a decent distraction in a crappy year (although, Tribes 1 decimates V by a huge, huge margin).

If all you've played is Tribes 2, You're better off not talking at all.

Naw I played the original Tribes, was pretty cool, decided to pick up Tribes 2, sucked, never really looked at the series again. I do agree though, the first one was the best.
