Like I said before, it's just not a G4 special without retarded skits. Call them whatever you want, they were stupid and completely unneeded like almost all g4's attempt at humor. What boggles my mind is as much as you guys are trying to be funny, why don't you just direct all that energy into a real comedy show about games?

And Kevin serioiusly has to be the worst host G4 has ever had.

Close second, Blister Bill will always be the undisputed king of awful G4 personalities.

A skit generally has more scripting to it. That was more of a fishing expedition. The point being, feedback on the humor segments is generally positive, so at least one will usually find its way into these specials. If, as you claim, our coverage is inferior and our opinions meaningless, three minutes of more or less coverage certainly isn't going to affect much one way or the other anyway.

As for X-Play, last I checked it's a 22 minute episode containing about 14 minutes of import game reviews and about 8 minutes of skits.

True, I'm not going to say the special was bad because of the skit. The X-Play special is bad though because of the skits. The X-Play skits were not funny and they were way too long. If this is the audience you have to appeal to then you're working for a really shitty audience.

I actually thought the E3 coverage from G4 was pretty good, but this TGS special was not really worth watching, especially the Xplay stuff.

The quality of those 2 car models are rediculous!! If that is what all the cars will be like in GT5 but with dozens of cars on track.....it would be absolutely SICK!!

Well Kaz said those are the first finished GT5 models, which are why they're the only ones that look that quality in the trailer and everything else is GT4. But yah its going to be amazing to see 20+ of those cars on track running at 60fps.

You could call it a little of both I guess. Yamauchi calls it a "progress report" in that they're using some real time PS3 assets (the first two highly detailed car models) and HDR lighting on the GT4 PS2 build. He says besides showing off how the PS3 car modeling is coming along the concept video is also "An experiment with the theme of how far lightweight data for PS2 can reach in terms of image quality with rich rendering."

She's admitted that she's not a big gamer. Diane is paid to look pretty and host a show, and she does a pretty decent job at both, it's just that she's hosting a shit show.

I dunno, Diane doesn't bug me nearly as much as that stupid girl who hosts Cheat. At least Diane is able to read her lines without sounding too much like she's just reading lines. That girl on Cheat is just I'm-so-reading-a-script-*giggle*, and there is just something about her that annoys the hell out of me, she has this smart-ass smirk on her face all the time like, "Look at me I'm so coool!!" I saw part of the rerun of this special this morning, and I noticed something I missed the first time.

When talking about the Xbox 360, Sessler complained because he said Oblivion and Project Gotham Racing 3 won't be available at launch. Is there some truth to this comment or is it just mindless whiney speculation?
